The new multimedia car PC by KGNT on the Windows XP platform is a combination of latest in wireless & PC technologies. Named as icom MK1, it has been introduced in the Korean Markets and the device consists of a 6.95 inch wide touch screen and also as an on board keyboard with a resolution of 800 x 400 (WVGA). It allows the users to access wireless internet service via wireless telecommunication service providers. The internet map in the system allows it to support navigation display thus the users are never out of touch. I strongly suggest that every car should have this gadget installed !

Mobiles have become a part of our. It is as if life won’t move a step ahead without mobile phones. Now just imagine if you could not clearly see the digits and alphabets on your mobile, hard to even imagine right? Many visually impaired people have the ability to recognize things like light intensity colors. Takumi Yoshida gives the basic phone status to such people through color illumination and identifiable keypad, called SÉNS. With the help of glow of color they will be able to see the tiny texts on screen to at least some extent. The enlightenment is positioned on the sides as the sides are the ones that are exposed when the phone is on a flat surface.

Avery Holleman has developed a PC design that can turn out to be a very useful tool on your conference tables. Named as Napkin PC, the design resembles a Napkin holder, which combines multiple touch screen devices within a collaborative network. The digital pens which are a part of the device allow the users to draw on the touch screens what you would do with a pen on a napkin. As per the designer, the reason for creating the concept was to enable users to interact with any number of interfaces connected in the same network. Of course this is one napkin wherein one won’t feel embarrassed keeping notes. Research has shown that the major factor contributing to the chances of any one surviving an accident is the response/the time taken to provide first aid to the victim. Many times help can’t arrive on time as the victim might be an adventure sportsman and in uninhabitable environment. Hence, to solve this problem, Mark Little has designed this system to provide emergency information as it contains a huge database covering a wide range of first aid procedures. It consists of built in speakers and high resolution black and white touch-screen, and runs on 4 AA batteries with 6 hours of battery back up on constant use.

The control panel is of course an LCD touch-screen system, it has 10 meters in length and 14 square meters of solar panels.
