Automobile designers today are thinking beyond the available designs and technologies. The same is not just confined to the cars or bikes, but also to other means of transport like boats. This new concept boat by industrial designer Andrew Bedov, promises to be an eye catcher and designed with traffic stopping looks. The speed boat by its looks seems to be on the move even when it is standing on the shore. The length of a boat exceeds 30 meters with 30 knots as its maximum speed. The two tiered boat design is aerodynamic, which ensures that the boat cruises through waters while it cuts through air. Truly a marvelous design must say and only one word to describe it – WOW!

The vehicle concept vehicle by Alex Hodge is surely an eye candy. This single-seater vehicle is something that suits today’s urban needs. The beauty named ‘Hawk’ is powered by Honda RC51 V-Twin 999cc engine has a top speed of 233 kilometers per hour and has three 19inch lightweight alloy wheels to support it which are in turn equipped with both rear and front disc brakes so its best of both worlds be it driving in the fast lane or stopping in a hurry. The new concept car designed by Andre Fangueiro is an interesting concept both design and utility wise. As per the designer, the inspiration for designing “Caravela” has been to make the congested urban highway space more interesting with innovative designs. And it’s an icing on the cake if the car is eco friendly apart from being different and compact. It is based on the three – wheeled Piaggio Ape- which was designed for elderly people but what takes the cake in case of Caravela is the overall design element. Add to that, the zero emission hydrogen engine with a top speed of 70kmph, well now you have a winner at hand.

This is the world’s first self balancing cycle which can be said to be a unique blend of machine and human balancing. The cycle works on the principle that the rider controls the speed of the cycle by his movement like leaning forward or backward for speeding up or stopping. Also the gadgets used in this device are quite advanced like the accelerometers and gyroscopes which in itself have a lot of balancing algorithms. Overall the device is ideal for short distances in the city as the cyclist is supported by presence of strong electric motor thus ensuring that the rider reaches the destination without much of an effort.

The new FC Sport fuel based car from Honda was recently displayed at the LA Auto Show is one traffic stopper. The designers have taken into their advantage the flexibility which is extended by the fuel cell powertrain as it is placed on the back of the driver. It’s a 3-seater with the styling of sports car major McLaren F1 vehicle, where in the driver is in the middle with passenger seats on side and back. The concept car is right now under study and testing to understand the full utility of the product. Though there may be a possibility of Honda releasing a full fledged version for commercial use.
