Keeping this in mind the mPower system has been developed which generates huge energy at minimal effort. The slender body of the device and leaf like tip resembles the structure of a large leaf. mPower Generation is a plant-shaped human-powered unit that produces electricity for immediate and future use. Users access their account using fingerprint recognition, stand on two pads at the base of the unit, and shift their weight from one pad to the other every ten seconds. The system, developed to take up the least amount of a user’s time and effort, can be adapted for the handicapped. A small portion of the electricity generated is used to power the interactive touch-screen at the top of the unit, which offers a broad range of informational services pre-customised by each user. The remaining majority of the electricity generated is sent to the city’s main power plant, to be used or stored. At their convenience, users receive payment for the electricity they generated by accessing their account at mPower Collection.
mPower Collection is a unit that, using the same fingerprint recognition technology, distributes payment and allows for account customisation to users of mPower Generation.

The design called as Scarab by the designer is not only a concept that is aimed at occupying least road space, but also it occupies very little parking space too. Check out this innovative transportation concept known as Freewill Urban – Intercity Commuting vehicle designed by Jinn Wong. This vehicle is a personal commuting assistant which helps in daily travel for the journey between the train station and the user’s destination. This vehicle consists of three-wheels with a long handle designed to pull the vehicle in an indoor environment. Freewill Urban is powered by two individual motors in the hub area of the two front wheels. Each motor controls each wheel separately. The vehicle uses oval shaped form and curves in order to offer styling approach. So, you can surely try out this electronic scooter for short distances.

Toyota Winglet is a prototype of future personal transportation, Toyota motors has come up with their version of walking assistant. Named as Winglet, it’s a personal transport assistant and is ridden in standing position. It has an electric motor, two wheels and an internal sensor for monitoring the user position. The unique parallel link mechanism allows the users to go forward, backward, and it turns by a simple shift of body weight, thus it comes handy even in crowded places. It ensures stability by making power adjustments and sure is one good walking assistant and suits the purpose for moving around safely and freely. Innovation in personal transportation is good, but this kind of transport will make our generation less walk and fatter.

Folding urban bike is great concept of flexibility. Today a lot of emphasis is being given to flexibility and sustainability with respect to mode of transport. In these lines comes the concept designed by English designer Thomas Jowen. He has named this conceptual design as ‘One’, which is an urban bike that can be folded when not in use. The bike has a standard handle with saddle as in any bike but the difference being that it looks sporty. When it is folded, it makes a compact round shaped design which hardly occupies any space. It surely looks a good solution to road congestion.
