IDEO has come up with a revolutionary product that has been designed as a study tool for kids under the age of 12 years. It allows them to read, learn, collaborate and work the product is design is laptop style computing which has a special set of physical characteristics which facilitates the usage for children and allowing schools and parents alike, to support the system. Also it helps students to adjust to any given environment and learn during the same time. This is a very useful tool as students can learn in this faster compared to other mediums.

The new housing design by U.S. based student Craig Mackiewicz is known as the Transportable Emergency Dwelling. It is simply a house built within the footprint of a shipping container and is a unique solution to low cost housing. Each container can easily accommodate two families with scope for extending the space by pulling the compartments and tents. Also each unit has basic utilities required for a normal family daily needs like kitchen, bathroom, storage space etc.The designer has also kept in mind the rain water harvesting by keeping a slant roof having a capacity to conserve 350 gallons of water; even the solar energy is conserved to provide electricity. So all in all, it’s a unique solution for tomorrow’s housing needs.

The new two-seater NASA concept car is surely an eye catcher not just for its unique and innovative design but also in its ability to spin 360 degree at the same spot. This beauty has been designed by Czech designer students Marek Kedzierski and Michal Vlèek and has no doors! The upper portion of the car just lifts up as we have in the cockpit, even the seats are placed in the same manner, and quite innovative must say! The upper portion also closed very slowly over the passengers and exactly fits around the neck and head restraints. So get set take it out for a spin quite literally with Nasa car concept!

BMW ZX-6 car concept came from the 3rd year students of Transportation Design School at Turin Based IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) for final project of Transportation Design (Designing the BMW of 2015) which is designed in partnership with BMW. The concept is focused keeping in mind the modern needs, tastes and life style of an individual. All the cars designed in this project looks like toy cars. You cannot even imagine them running on roads in the real life. There are different concepts of cars designed by the students and all of them are unbelievable in their design and concept. All conceptual designs today are based on two key platforms: Sustainability and environmental friendly. Here comes the modular kitchen design by Kate Jaclin, from Queensland University of Technology which aims to create a kitchen by which the user can connect with nature and be aware of natural resources like water and energy. So the kitchen waste water can be recycled via the solar energy which can be used again while the organic waste can be used for the attached kitchen or vegetable garden. The kitchen can be refurbished easily and the recycled bio-plastic materials used, have been designed for injection molding. It also is ergonomically designed with prime emphasis being given to user safety.
