Sang Hoon Lee, a South Korean designer, has designed a concept Shrek MP3 player with a couple of chic headphones which will surely come to the focus with its release. The ease of finding a place of the headphone on the player reflects the approach that Shrek portends.

The innovative pet holder by South Korean Industrial designer Ji-Hoon Chung can be said to be a tool that is a very helpful for all the pet owners. The device though looks like any ordinary pet holder but on closer examination one can see that it’s more than just that. Tucked away in this normal pet collar is the USB pen drive on which the user can feed in the data about his contact details which will facilitate in the tracking of the pet in case it is lost. The new single seater electric concept car by South Korean designer Jongpil Shin is expected to take the car designing to the next level. The USP of this compact car design is that it has certain emotional elements which constitute a part of it like the wrinkle that has been incorporated into the overall styling and functionality. Even though it’s a single seater vehicle, it still can accommodate two people easily thus transforming it into a two seater but in the process the wrinkle gets straightened. The wrinkle also helps in protecting the passengers in case of an accident as the same gets swelled up. So, all in all it is an emotionally safe vehicle.

The new city center designed by Dutch architects MVRDV for Gwanggyo, a city coming up 35 kms from Seoul in South Korea seems to be something taken out of the sci fi movies. Expected to be completed by 2011, the city is sufficient enough to hold 77000 inhabitants and has a design envisioned with two centers which is a mix of housing, culture, office, retail, and leisure and education spaces. Various atriums are created in the towers catering to various categories, with box hedges being planted on the roofs and terraces which in turn improves ventilation and reduces usage of energy and water.
