It uses the signals sent by the satellites revolving around the earth in specific orbit and the inbuilt GPS receiver catches the signal and transforms it into understandable directions. The new front door design by Brazil based design group Nódesign is a beautiful design for a front door. The door is sleek and modern and comes with a remote control. Yup the door can be locked or unlocked at the click of a button similar to what a central locking does to a car. The door also comes with a digital door bell, number lighting i.e. the door displaying the house number. The door also comes with a battery back up of running one week without power supply. So a practical solution for today’s resource crunch times which is high tech yet simple to use.

The new miBook promises to change the whole definition of stereotypical chores that’s been associated with the respective gender. It’s a PDA with a 7″touchscreen and teaches skill through step-by-step videos and other multimedia. So whatever is the task be it changing diapers or gardening, miBook will surely teach you. The equipment costs $130 but it is sold without on-board memory. It also works as the digital picture frame and the format supported being MPEG video, MP3 audio and SD/xD/MS/MMC cards for cheaper storage.

According to me, remote is the greatest invention that has been created. For a lazy gizmo freak like me the motto is ‘when it can be done an easier way, then why try another way’! With almost every device possible coming with remotes, like TV AC, CD player, this device which is supposed to ease your worries, it gets cumbersome to maintain so many remotes. And almost all the remote look the same, it becomes a tough ask to maneuver between devices. Well before you freak out, help is here, David Chacon has come up with a design for the universal remote which promises to take care of all the worries.
This flash capable device displays everything from channel listings to elaborate menus, and manage the whole house – like turning on the microwave oven or dimming the lights. Also the touch screen is very roomy. The frequencies set is right and if the product company provides the required support, the device can customize graphically the interface for the product.
Though still in the conceptual mode, it might be a while before the same might seem the light of the day. But all said and done, this one device is sure going to be a hit amongst all the Lazy Gizmo Freaks!
