Tri.on Remote Controlled Robot To Help Fire Brigades

Tri.on is a remote controlled robot concept specially designed to be used by the fire brigades or disaster control unit. The main inspiration of this concept came from the drive of generating something that can substitute a human being under tremendously dangerous conditions. Tri.on robot features four wheel shaped rolling tires, each with 3 inner wheels to make the tires roll, allowing the robot to run over any sorts of uneven surfaces such as stairs. It has two hands that can move in any direction and two holders in the end of the hands that provides strong grip when picking up an object.

Braille Concept Phone for Visually Challenged People

Braille phone is a universal cellular phone concept that is able to produce Braille code in a particular part of it by using Electric Active Plastic to make it usable for visually handicapped people. The phone has been designed in a simple and easy to use manner and looks like a television remote control. The Braille area provides all the information that a traditional screen of a cell phone displays so that visually impaired people can read them by touching it. It provides letter blocks in two by three dot matrixes and by using this principle on buttons, visually challenged people can easily create or read text messages. This braille phone just won Red Dot Awards 2009.

Wanna Reach is an adjustable shelf system concept which is specially designed for the personal home use of paraplegic people. This innovative system comprises a remote control that is used to vertically move all the shelves of the system independently, thus allowing the user to reach as well as use them. This unit hangs on the wall for effortless access and thus provides more floor space to use for other purposes. To make the product durable and long lasting, the designer has used wood and aluminum extrusion. It can be set up as a single unit or more as per the requirement of the user.
