Blu Bottle combines a superb innovative design with mechanical processes and doesn’t require any high tech electronics or reliance on batteries to perform. By using the most underused source of energy in the world, the human energy, this bottle can harness the user’s kinetic energy via a manual pump, various pressure chambers and valves. Blu Bottle contains a coolant unit and sudden release in pressure on that unit results drop in temperature, therefore generating drinkable condensation. This compact and versatile bottle is best for using in remote areas, relief/aid purposes and personal or outdoor use.

The Electrolux last year design competition challenged students to come up with appliance designs of the future and one such interesting design was the Stratosphere. Designed by Budapest based Hungarian student Attila Sáfrány, Stratosphere is a design of a clothes rack. This rack helps in storing the clothes if to be used again and helps to maintain hygiene as it sucks off all the germs and micro pollutants out of the clothes and these goes to the filter placed in the device and out come a clean cloth which can be used again whenever desired. All in all it’s a nice and clean concept.

The houseboat designed by German based architects “Confused-Direction” is one that can be floated around or kept on the shore. Confused Direction, a young co-op design firm founded by Flo Florian and Sascha Akkerman, comes out with refreshing concepts and designs which can be termed revolutionary if not bizarre! The houseboat called Schwimmhaus or floating house in German is an eco-friendly house that looks chic design wise too. Still in its design phase, it is still unclear if the same will see commercial production, because if it does there will be many takers for this incredible floating beauty.

The new concept Ice Vehicle is the new age vehicle that will help you explore the Antarctica. The vehicle design is pretty cool and is perfect companion to explore the only yet fully unexplored continent. The vehicle has a prop in the back while it has three ski feet to ride on. For the purpose of breaking it has a spiked front foot thus stopping the vehicle instantly. For navigational purposes it has ice radar so all in all it is sure a gizmo loaded mean machine. The new concept designed by Dutch designers Arthur Rottier and Peter Jongman can be defined in one word as “refreshing”. They call it WoonBox and it is revolutionary in combining the basic necessities which are identified in regular household. This device has a shower, toilet and a kitchen in a compact box like structure. Apart from being chic, it is mobile, mechanized and easy to set up. This makes it perfect for offices, parks as well as for locations wherever temporary set up is required. So surely it is a brilliant idea which takes care of all your basic needs.
Designed to serve as temporary residence in places where permanent homes are difficult to locate, Woonbox can be set-up in spaces like offices and parks as makeshift measures. Woonbox would also come in handy for the poor and homeless as well as the class of populace that cannot afford large permanent establishments.
