Core Patient Recovery Vest Performs Automated Triage to Reduce Paramedics’ Workload

Core Patient Recovery Vest has been designed to enable first responders to perform triage. Triage is a step of determining priority of patient’s treatments based on the severity of their conditions, it helps prevent medical shock in patients during mass casualty incidents such as natural disasters or train crashes. In a mass casualty accident, such as a train crash, rescue is only the first step. Paramedics have only 30 seconds per patient to check their vitals and establish triage priority, stabilize them if possible, and attempt to determine their name and basic background information.

Exoskeleton Watch Was Inspired by Armors and Skeletons Characteristics

A very cool watch design, Peter Fletcher has done it again with his latest concept: Exoskeleton watch. From the name itself, you might know it was inspired by armors and skeletons characteristics, it features plate like armor design for the main body. The gaps between these plates are used to display LED lights that tell the time.

The time here is displayed either in digital or 12/5/9 format using stripes of LEDs, it makes the watch looks like coming out of a sci-fi movie. Visually interesting, those stripes of LEDs would also look really cool when doing animations. Any fans of anime, mecha, and gaming would love this futuristic watch, guys love it, and so will girls, thanks to jewelry like bracelet design. The armor look combines 2 intuitive time telling methods that set this watch apart from others.

Targa Florio Concept Smartphone Is Inspired by Classic Automotive Style

Targa Florio, a concept smartphone that combines classic automotive style and hi-tech digital (rotatable display touch screen). Well, it sounds good, but not in practice. This concept smartphone looks a bit impractical with a bulky stopwatch/speedometer, we’re not really sure if it’s removable or not since we don’t have any more details. But we do love the sleekness of the phone, perhaps it utilizes super-thin battery technology to make it happen.

Infinite Light : Solar Powered Light inside PET Bottle

Infinite Light has won Green Dot Award 2013 for its innovative and sustainable design. Dr. Hakan Gursu has come up with a light that helps humanity and environment, it can be very useful in rural households that still don’t have access to electricity. At night, there are still many families that are forced to use kerosene lamps that usually cost about 25% of their weekly budgets to light them. Aside from the high cost, those lamps also increase the risk of fire and harmful smoke.

Infinite Light could be a simple solution, a high quality solar powered lamp that is more cost effective. It’s a green lamp that uses solar energy or batteries to power itself placed in PET bottle. Flexible solar panel is wrapped around the bottle to collect sun’s light and those batteries convert the light into energy. The part that casts the light is attached at the bottom of the metal parts, it also functions as cover and supporter of the bottle. There’s a metal wire at the top that functions as handle where you can use to hang the light.

The Nook Cabin Is Inspired by Native Wigwam Construction

The native Wigwam construction has become the main inspiration for this cabin, The Nook. It’s gorgeous rustic cabin which can be built in different terrains, it’s a perfect structure for hotels, secluded office, retreats, home studio, or even a workshop. In fact, the bigger and larger version can accommodate more people and you can build an extra floor above. It uses slatted wooden clad panels which are attached to the main frame with different woods native to that particular area, as the structure ages, these panels blend even more with its surrounding area. To protect its residents from the bad weather, the roof of this structure is constructed in sections of reinforced angled glass, where the main slats are angled and layered in order to keep the rain and leaves run off but still letting the light into the interior.

The Duffel Series Inspired by Duffel Bags

The Duffel series from Tim Webber takes the inspiration from drawstring duffel bags with some added features to express the level of quality and functionally. The series consist of ottoman and stool, both furniture feature a strip of differentiating color at the base, a nice touch to represent the leather layer where usually found at the bottom of a duffel bag. This design allows for customization with many different fabric colors available. We love the rope drawstring accompanied with leather accents on this ottoman and stool, they give this collection unique characteristic. The rope handles also function as a functional aspect when it comes to move this stool/ottoman from one room to another.

Mobile Honey Extractor Reduces The Time Needed to Harvest Honey

Mobile Honey Extractor is a mobile mechanical device that we can use to extract honey from hives, fast and easy. It’s a concept vehicle/machine to drastically reduce the time needed to harvest honey, promoting operator safety and to avoid disturbing the bees during the process. It takes 2 workers to do the job, one to drive the vehicle and the other one to work on the extraction process, but we believe one operator is actually enough to do both works.
