Hello Folks, I have received my X-Mini 2nd Generation portable speaker a couple of days earlier and have really amazed with what I got for as low as 15 pounds. Let me be a bit more elaborative…
Starting from the package I received, a cool sleek package with the heading “Audio Revolution in a Box”, which really enhances the attention. I have opened the package and yeah I got a bit disappointed since almost all the portable speakers come in a pair. Well I must say this feeling got away as soon as I plugged in the little monster with my iPod. But still, I wish I had 2 X-Mini 2nd Generation speakers to make better comparison with X-Mini Max. For teenagers, an MP3 player can’t be more alluring other than the TicTac, a wrist watch with built-in MP3 player along with a touch sensitive and easy to manipulate display. The display of time can be customized to show both analog and digital time and can also be programmed to show the name of the song it is playing in the moment or its artist’s name. It features touch buttons for play, stop, pause, next and prv at the bottom of the display and two touch scrolls on both sides for adjusting the volume and timeline for the song. A slide button on the side of the watch’s body can lock the display. TicTac has its own memory that stores the songs through USB connectivity and has rechargeable battery. It features both cable headphones and Bluetooth headphones, but cable headphones are recommended for longer back up time of the battery.

ShakEnergy battery is a different type of concept battery that can be recharged by a manual operation without the need of using any kind of components. This AA sized nickel metal hydrate battery is charged through shaking it. It also can be charged through an electrical battery charger. The ShakEnergy concept battery has five components inside, rechargeable Ni-mH battery, shaft, coiled bobbin, permanent magnet and rubber shock-absorber. The capacity of the battery is about half of the usual AA size battery and the main electricity is produced by the bobbin. When the battery is shaken, the permanent magnet moves up and down through the shaft and center of the bobbin, thus produces the electricity. The rubber base absorbs the shock, as well as helps the magnet to bounce back.

The Marionette Clock is a unique concept clock, where the entire wall acts as a clock and the hand is attached with strings that are clasped up to a conveyor on the top. The innovative design of this clock has made it like a puppet play, performed by the Mint boys, who are moving the clock’s hand by controlling the strings, while riding on a roller between their legs that are powered by electric motor.
Marionette boys control the vertical wires attached to the clock’s hand by winding and unwinding the crank. The vertical wiring is controlled by the stepper motor and the function of its module is to calculate the vertical wire’s length to a high level of accuracy. Display of time is done by calculating the vertical wire length and the unicycle’s position to their appropriate figure. The unicycle, on which the Marionette boys ride, is made of “Mycom”, which runs by the stepper motors and let the Marionette boys stay put. The Marionette boys are equipped with rechargeable and interchangeable battery, kept in a backpack on their backs for better balance and this unique design prevents the ride of the boys from falling off, even when they are positioned in an angle.
