Future Skateboard Car Concept

This is a sportscar concept that with skateboard design. Using only 10″ in diameter wheels, flat and deck-style body, I can see my future skateboard in this car concept. You can fold the two seats flat when your park the car, and open it again for the ride. According to Florian Dobe, this is called “Sculpture Mode”, envisioning the vehicle can enhance the space it’s parked in.

4NE1 Roller Coaster Style Transportation Seat by Christopher Simmons

Designed by Christopher Simmons, this 4NE1 is an innovation design in transportation seat for the future. Christopher Simmons, a student from Monash University was trying to create a vehicle seat this can be enjoy by elders, adults, kids and even physically impaired, that was when 4NE1 roller coaster style seat born.

This system is completely innovative and takes a whole new look at how we perceive space within a vehicle. Concerns have been raised about structural strength within the roof , but with structural reinforcement at little added cost – there is no reason why a roof cannot support the 24G crash impact requirements.

Importantly, in being firmly suspended from a roof, each chair has excellent properties for impact absorption in frontal and rear impact collisions and is further supported by an anti-whiplash? back rest that comes forward upon impact. The products seat base can raise and lower with it?s own back depending on desired use.

A flexible seating system with primary design focus on the elderly, physically impaired and is also wheelchair compatible. The system is suspended from a roof and may be temporarily stored away on the roof ceiling, or removed completely from the vehicle to maximize space or for maintenance purposes.

4ne1 future vehicle seat

Love the idea, this roller coaster style seat might not be available soon, but it does add futuristic style for cars. I wont’ be surprise to see 4NE1 next in the car design concept. One thing to ask to Christopher is the size of this seat, I mean some people can be really really big, if that’s the case, do they still fit into this seat ?

XNovo Three Wheeler from Sidam

After the popularity of three-wheelers is rising, started by Piaggio MP3, Gilero Fuoco and Vectrix, a French scooter importer Sidam try to enter the market by building another type of three-wheel scooter. But this time, instead of putting two wheels at the front, they decided to put the two wheels at the rear of the vehicle. Kinda remind me of Thai Tuk Tuk, but Xnovo concept is somehow some crossover between a minivan and Thai Tuk Tuk.

The design sketches seem to suggest that both rear wheels will be belt driven in the 500cc Piaggio-engined petrol version – although hybrid and fully electric versions are also on the cards, the latter featuring twin electric motors, one in each wheel hub. The luggage angle is definately a big part of the concept fot Sidam.

We’ll wait to learn more as the Xnovo moves towards a launch date rumoured to be late 2008. Price is expected to be around ?8000 for the 500cc model.

Nissan Pivo 2: 360-Degree Swiveler Electric Nissan Concept

It’s the new version of Nissa Pivo concept, first shown in 2005, the electric-powered, 360-degree swiveler. Now it’s the Pivo 2. Just the same as the first Pivo, its cabin rotates, eliminating the need for a reverse gear, though its in-wheel motors can propel it in any direction — even sideways. What’s new in the Pivo 2 is its in-car Robotic Agent, a voice-recognition interface (in English or Japanese) to a valet application that can engage in a range of communications from basic vehicle functions to the closest parking space. It looks like a cartoon car, but I really like the design.
