Iulian Bumbu, a Romanian professional car designer, designed The Lamborghini Insecta keeping an extreme racing supercar in mind. The design of this mid-engined 2-seater supercar combines the styling cues of the brand with elements encouraged by insect exoskeletons. The idea was based on introducing more organic and softer lines and combining them into the geometrical approach of Lamborghini. The inspiration mainly came from nature, particularly from the exoskeletons of insects which can be found in the top and back views of the car. Carbon-fiber is the main material of the panels and body structure of the car and powertrain is the same of a Gallardo.

The new FC Sport fuel based car from Honda was recently displayed at the LA Auto Show is one traffic stopper. The designers have taken into their advantage the flexibility which is extended by the fuel cell powertrain as it is placed on the back of the driver. It’s a 3-seater with the styling of sports car major McLaren F1 vehicle, where in the driver is in the middle with passenger seats on side and back. The concept car is right now under study and testing to understand the full utility of the product. Though there may be a possibility of Honda releasing a full fledged version for commercial use.

The new concept car R25 by Audi is the latest in its lineup of race cars. The features are quite innovative and the same have never been featured in any of the prototypes like high velocity banks and tunnels, a feature that allows the car to race in inverted position which helps it overtake other aerodynamic race cars. Unlike a normal racing car, it is fitted with an elevation so as to provide an extra thrust to the wind consequently making it more difficult for the drivers to maintain the efficiency of the car. Hence, energy efficiency will be the integral part of sports with this Formula zero racing Car. Entire new concept of racing has been evolved, combining the thrill of formula one and the theory of track dynamics.
