Butterfly is a compact mobile micro scooter for an efficient use in short distances (e.g. from the tram to the train station). The idea is to optimize the daily commuter way and thereby getting faster from A to B. While Butterfly is closed, he fits into any bag or rucksack. By pulling the steering-knob, Butterfly springs open in a second and is ready to ride. After usage, just push the two casings together and the folded plate disappears smoothly in-between them. Dirt and bulky parts are thereby elegantly provided inside the case. This way you can promptly put back Butterfly, without having any dirty in, or scratches on your bag.

M-Zero is a car concept inspired by BMW M series which also consider Mercedes Benz (as the backlight) and DB9 Aston Martin (the global silhouette of is definitely inspired by the DB9). Maël Oberkampf, the designer of M-Zero actually tried to make a model which could be considered as the equivalent of the R8 from Audi. And the result is M-Zero, a car concept that is the “synthesis” between the actual BMW design and a high an performance car which could become the most powerful model of the BMW legacy. The exterior looks great, very BMW style, but we are hoping to be able to see the interior design, we bet it’s futuristic.

Mazda is going to show off its latest concept car called Mazda Taiki at 2008 Beijing International Motor Show. If you are looking at the curvaceous shape of Mazda Taiki, then you should understand the statement of “inspired by the shape and flow of the wind”. The challenge of this concept car is to design a car that visually expresses the flow of the air and atmosphere (called Taiki in Japanese). Now you know where “Taiki” name came from.

Audi tried to combine hydrogen-powered concept with artificial intelligent, one seat only, this car has the ability to drive by itself without any help from the driver. Skinned in chrome, the Virtuea Quattro is powered by hydrogen somehow (details apparently aren’t required for this thought experiment) and has the unique ability of displaying the holographic exterior of any car throughout history, though Audi would prefer if you made it look like the R8. Special thing about this car is the “brain” that has the ability to change its own hologram body, which mean, yes … you can change the car’s body just with a single push button, hologram only of course but still … very cool concept isn’t it ?
