Architects of UNStudio have come up with their competition winning redevelopment and extremely fabulous structure of a former post office in Rotterdam. This building is approximately 44.000 m2 in surface. This is surely going to be a historical monument in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This monument will include a vertical entrance and a 100m high tower featuring a luxury hotel with several facilities such as conferences, offices, cafes, bars, restaurants, and retail facilities etc. The project will most probably end by the year 2012 and creates a sustainable development which integrates a ‘Green Shopping’ experience for people and also offers a new urban look for the city.

Glider by Regimantas Vegele sure seems to be an exciting concept. This aero-dynamic design of course reminds me of the dolphin, it does have a mesmerizing presence with its elongated wings. The long wings illustrate an image of a bird floating and circulating in the air. The designers not just took care of the aesthetic appeal of the glider, but also have addressed the safety concerns of the ones inside the glider; all this while giving ample amount of leg room. With a seating capacity for 2, the seats are also quite innovatively designed and seem quite comfortable for the fliers. All said and done this sure is one of the concepts to watch out for.

Dubai is coming out to be the next destination as far as architectural designs are concerned. An example of the same is the Strata tower, a forty story, luxury residential building designed by architects Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture of Asymptote. The work has started on the Al Raha Beach and is slated to be completed by early 2011.
The tower would be 160 meters high and will be tallest building in the Al Dana precinct, which is the centerpiece of Aldar Properties PJSC’s prestigious Al Raha Beach development. The project and its development shall be showcased at Cityscape Abu Dhabi from May 13–15, 2008. the Strata Tower is designed to signify an important and dignified future for the Abu Dhabi and the surrounding region.
