All conceptual designs today are based on two key platforms: Sustainability and environmental friendly. Here comes the modular kitchen design by Kate Jaclin, from Queensland University of Technology which aims to create a kitchen by which the user can connect with nature and be aware of natural resources like water and energy. So the kitchen waste water can be recycled via the solar energy which can be used again while the organic waste can be used for the attached kitchen or vegetable garden. The kitchen can be refurbished easily and the recycled bio-plastic materials used, have been designed for injection molding. It also is ergonomically designed with prime emphasis being given to user safety.

Avery Holleman has developed a PC design that can turn out to be a very useful tool on your conference tables. Named as Napkin PC, the design resembles a Napkin holder, which combines multiple touch screen devices within a collaborative network. The digital pens which are a part of the device allow the users to draw on the touch screens what you would do with a pen on a napkin. As per the designer, the reason for creating the concept was to enable users to interact with any number of interfaces connected in the same network. Of course this is one napkin wherein one won’t feel embarrassed keeping notes. Slide is a city car for one individual, in which you dont sit but stand. The low cross-section in this case should be effective against the parking situations of tomorrow. Unnecessary empty rides of one individual in a car with two or four seats, especially in the city, belong to the past. Through an open design and the upright position during the ride, the user is able to communicate with the other participants of traffic in a special way. They are in an equal position of eye height with pedestrians and cyclists. The drive of Slide works about the clean electrical engine technology. New, lightweight and innovative materials, like Maylar plastic film and Carbon fibre, for motorcars stands in a balance to the new drive technology.
