E-Ink is a concept display technology with very thin, durable, flexible and low power attributes, which is also referred to as an electronic paper sometimes. This project is a continuum challenge for the designers to create innovative applications for this unique technology. Among many, we think that one compelling solution was to evolve the E-Ink film into the top exterior of a snowboard, since the riders of snowboards often require information about the mountain they are surfing and don’t want to take the hassle of pulling a compass, maps or other supplies. The E-Ink technology, with the stability and low power attributes, has made it an ideal fit for this application.

The Embossing Braille Printer concept is focused on making things easier for blind people. Most of the time, blind people recognize items through touch, smell and test. But difficulties arise when they encounter similar shapes items, while taking smell or testing everything is risky. The Embossing Braille Printer is designed to help blind people to identify similar characteristics items through using special embossed labels. The blind will input short information through a recorder with voice-recognition abilities for similar items like pill bottles, files or CDs. The labels are printed on a 25mm x 50mm label with Braille characters and then are attached with the corresponding items to avoid false identification.

Pill Time is a fashionable, user-friendly and simple pill management system aimed to provide useful assistance to Elder patients who usually forget to take their pills or take them less or more than the prescribed amount. This innovative system consists of three products, a nicely designed pill bottle, an automated personal medication assistant, and a loading station. The key advantage of this design is minimum features with cozy styling that will suit the needs of elder patients. The shaded body of this device does not get dirty or glare easily, yet providing adequate contrast to make it attractive. Pills are automatically loaded on this system and the safety lock prevents accidental overdose.

Seems like it’s time for designers to look back in time for getting inspiring themselves as done by Christophe Pillet. He has designed a contemporary set which comprises of a bottle, two glasses, and a tray which is accompanying Remy Martin’s top of the line cognac Louis XIII. As per the Remy Martin, it is a perfect tribute to the heritage and class of the quality of cognac that Louis XIII signifies. The design of the bottle also signifies the richness and heritage that was significant during the times of Louis XIII thus the overall design is immensely rich and classy. So, it is truly an inspiring tribute.
