Communication is the driving force by which we are leading our lives today. Just as the watches, jewelry, and eye wear are all making fashion statements, communication devices too are joining this category. Welcome to Plantronics Versa, a concept design by One & Co. This is a future concept wireless headsets that define the way we communicate in future though it looks more like a ear mounted pen holder!
Well this wireless headset looks cool and uses the Bluetooth technology to connect to the mobile phone and RF to connect to the actual ear buds. So technologically this sounds a cool concept.

Peter Zsolt Koren does have a target when his concept cell phone will meet reality, and I guess 2014 isn’t too far away to get our hands to hold Koren’s Flash cell phone concept. Touchscreen, sleek and slim design, camera, wireless charging, also completed with interactive projectors. The phone projects interfaces on any surface and can detect finger gestures, you’ll never get bored with Flash cell phone. Did I mention that this phone also won the second place of “Hello Future 2014 mobile phone design competition”?

Another innovative design concept from Nokia, the morph concept. Featured in The Museum of Modern Art ?Design and The Elastic Mind? exhibition, the Morph concept device is a bridge between highly advanced technologies and their potential benefits to end-users. Developed by NRC (Nokia Research Center) in collaboration with the Cambridge Nanoscience Centre (United Kingdom), Morph is a concept phone that using nanotechnology which enables materials and components that are flexible, stretchable, transparent and remarkably strong. Users should be able to transform their cell phone into different shapes.

From the website :
“Morph concept technologies might create fantastic opportunities for mobile devices: * Newly-enabled flexible and transparent materials blend more seamlessly with the way we live
* Devices become self-cleaning and self-preserving
* Transparent electronics offering an entirely new aesthetic dimension
* Built-in solar absorption might charge a device, whilst batteries become smaller, longer lasting and faster to charge
* Integrated sensors might allow us to learn more about the environment around us, empowering us to make better choices”
We probably see this technology another 5-7 years in the future, by using nanotechnology, hopefully can lead to low cost manufacturing solutions and the possibility of integrating complex functionality at a low price.

Everyone was designing a watch phone with hope we already used it by now. Well, one of designs might come true and we can wear it soon, CellWatch M500, the world’s smallest mobile watch. The initial release took place in November last year and hopefully, the product will be available again in March 2008 (according to mymobilewatch). Designed by SMS Technology Australia, CellWatch M500 has features like sms functionality, OLED touchscreen, bluetooth, mp3, video playback, 128 MB Memory. Will we reach the future ? Let’s wait Marc 2008.

Scentsory is a mobile communication device that works with the senses of smell, sight, hearing and touch, giving users the ability to experience remote communication on multi-sensory levels. With the development of Scentsory, remote interfacing will become more biologically natural. The future of mobile communication is ready to take part in rich, multi-layered, multi-sensory experiences. In addition to basic audiovisual features, Scentsory is able to detect, transmit and emit smells. It can also radiate colours, lighting, and temperature from the caller?s environment.
