Mantra is an automated life saving system concept aiming to tackle the beach safety issues that usually causes drowning casualties such as slow response time, inadequate surveillance, lack of lifeguard safety, and limitation of lifeguards as human. The Mantra concept contains small hairs with embedded electro sensors that detect distress and drowning people and swims up automatically to the spot. The victim them picked up carefully onto the built-in stretcher and it carries him or her on top of the water by using impellers and hydrofoils. There is always constant communication between the Mantra and beach lifeguards through which it carries the victim to a specified beach location where ambulance and medical team remains stand-by.

The overall technology is based on Horological machines which tell time. The machine is designed and constructed in three dimensional unlike the traditional wrist watches and hence are revolutionary. This version called as Horological Machine No.3 has been introduced in two versions : “Sidewinder”, with its cones perpendicular to the arm; and “Starcruiser”, with its cones in-line with the arm. Each has its own very distinct visual characteristics; each offers its own unique angle on telling the time.

Avery Holleman has developed a PC design that can turn out to be a very useful tool on your conference tables. Named as Napkin PC, the design resembles a Napkin holder, which combines multiple touch screen devices within a collaborative network. The digital pens which are a part of the device allow the users to draw on the touch screens what you would do with a pen on a napkin. As per the designer, the reason for creating the concept was to enable users to interact with any number of interfaces connected in the same network. Of course this is one napkin wherein one won’t feel embarrassed keeping notes. Jiri Bukvald designed the insulin pump as an original and suitable product with clear function, simple and perfect shaping. For a diabetic is vital to know his or her sugar level in blood (sugar blood). Therefore Bukvald designed large OLED display placed on a clip so it would be always legible and clear. Integrated clip makes the pump suitable for comfortable wearing. The large numbers on display show sugar blood, the small numbers stands for actual time and the darts represent rate and direction of motion sugar blood. This makes it possible for a diabetic person to respond on time and improve the quality of his or her compensation and thereby extend his or her life.
