Plica is a conceptual phone that uses 2 screens instead of one, and has the advantage of shape as it is dimensionally the same as regular phone. Plica phone concept is trying to offer a better design compared to iPhone which has many complains on its size of the interface, which is too small for some people’s hand. Splitting it into two allows you to dedicate one of the touch screens as a keyboard and the other as a touch monitor. You can also view a single web page or image across both screens. This could be the next evolution in mobile electronics.

What do you get when an entertainment major join hands with leaders in home appliances, software and hardware combined with a high end builder? What you get is a house full with innovations like the one recently unveiled by Disney, the Innoventions Dream Home in Anaheim, Calif. It is located in a place called Tomorrowland, and it promises to be a house of the future or you can say marketing of the future, since the construction was a collaborative effort between Disneyland, Microsoft, HP, Life|ware and home-builder Taylor Morrison. With gadgets like magic mirror that allows you to see how you look in various clothes, kitchen that recognizes ingredients and a multimedia interface to tell stories to children, all we can say is welcome to the future!

Avery Holleman has developed a PC design that can turn out to be a very useful tool on your conference tables. Named as Napkin PC, the design resembles a Napkin holder, which combines multiple touch screen devices within a collaborative network. The digital pens which are a part of the device allow the users to draw on the touch screens what you would do with a pen on a napkin. As per the designer, the reason for creating the concept was to enable users to interact with any number of interfaces connected in the same network. Of course this is one napkin wherein one won’t feel embarrassed keeping notes. Eclipse intuit concept phone is an exploration into the future of mobile phones. Looking at the possibilities of more intuitive interfaces where users and the device are more effectively in-sync with each other. In addition, exploring green alternatives in powering at the phone moving away from conventional battery powered methods.
Intuit features dual interactive interfaces to cater for different applications. The UI adjust itself depending on the usage mode-whether phone, camera or internet mode. The device is also energy efficient charging via solar power, ensuring it will never die out while in use.

For all the people who find it a hassle to do rinsing, and disposing garbage, designer Anne Kitzmiller has come up with Crevasse Prep Sink. The sink has been developed in collaboration with Kohler kitchen design and engineering group, it controls rinsing functions and garbage disposal synchronization. It uses a unique technique to develop a safe interface which can be activated by human touch, thus eliminating any chance of activation by accident by a pot or a pan. A constant blue glow indicates the rinse cycle, and the synchronized garbage disposal cycle is indicated by a flashing blue glow.
