The new rain water harvesting and sports stadium storage design by Australian designer Chris Buerckner can be said to be innovative product in all respects. He has named it as Watree which looks like an umbrella placed upside down also acts as a shade in the rain. The rain water gets accumulated and is stored in it tank underground as these can be placed on areas away from the playing surface, the water stored can be used to sustain the stadium during the summer months through series of underground pipes. A practical and a self sufficient solution in these crunching times!

Add to that the depleting natural resources, auto makers are trying to make concept cars that addresses both the problems. The 2-seater CityAnt seems to be a derivative of this thought as the vehicle runs on electricity. As per the designers it is an amicable solution for short distance rental service which can run on self service model which shall be controlled with membership. ‘Freemode’ the new chair design by John Dyson, has been designed with the motto of helping the people with disabilities to gain more freedom and personal space. The chair with its innovative storage/collapsibility can be used both for personal and as well as hospital. It is easy to use and highly functional thus for collapsing the chair the necessity of usage of hands is not there. Also the base material used is that of fiber glass as the chair is exposed to different environments like shower and toilet functions which involve water. Thus this is a practical solution for the physically challenged.

Two of the major problems with urban cycling are storage and security. The new retrofit folding handlebar design claims to solve both the issues. The folded handlebars thus form a steering lock, which when the bike is lent against a wall or post it eliminates the infuriating turning of the front wheel and provides security when parked outside. Thus one can make the cycles to be slimmer by replacing the handlebars of the existing full size bike that too at a fraction of the cost and also keep the efficiency of large wheels.
This reduced width and increased stability makes hallway storage hassle free and the advantage of being both increased security and convenience. Thus it allows speedy departure, thereby significantly increasing the frequency of bike usage. This slimmer version allows more bike storage in a given space.
