The next generation WowWee robots series from WowWee Robotics, takes robotics to the next generation. Set to be unveiled in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas later this week, the two playful companions are something that you more than asked for. The first one is Joebot, which is a regular fully loaded interactive friendly neighborhood robot which also has sense of humor up its sleeve. It also responds to key phrases using the sound sensors, so much so that one can make it dance to the tune as it replicates the same without a hitch. While the other one named Roborover is softer and down to earth version as it gradually gets comfortable with continuous interaction. Quite innovative one must say!

The upcoming recreational vehicle show in Dusseldorf, Germany surely has some innovative plans designed by automobile major Volkswagen. The auto major has come up with the Topos Caddy Sail Design Concept, which is a commercial van that has its inspiration drawn from the sailboat as it has its style and functionality to the boot. The concept vehicle has a wooden deck with aluminum rails. The deck can be bended which makes it a convenient to lay and stretch and enjoy sailing; for accessing your roof top sail the manufacturers have also made stairs on the back of the vehicle. This is a perfect leisure vehicle for all you adventure seekers out there.

In a mood to maneuver the streets, then the new SoulArc Board is sure something that will help you doing the same. Though at the first glance it looks like a normal skateboard, but it has a rigid top while the below-deck composite spring provides the action and the feeling one gets is that of surfing. Designed by Mitch Mulder, along with Salvaore Vilardi, the whole design is dependent on the performance spring, which has undergone various adjustments like size, shape and material selection etc. The overall ride is quite smooth and unmatched to give that surfing experience. Toyota Winglet is a prototype of future personal transportation, Toyota motors has come up with their version of walking assistant. Named as Winglet, it’s a personal transport assistant and is ridden in standing position. It has an electric motor, two wheels and an internal sensor for monitoring the user position. The unique parallel link mechanism allows the users to go forward, backward, and it turns by a simple shift of body weight, thus it comes handy even in crowded places. It ensures stability by making power adjustments and sure is one good walking assistant and suits the purpose for moving around safely and freely. Innovation in personal transportation is good, but this kind of transport will make our generation less walk and fatter.

Since the Maximus keyboard last year create a real buzz, they have developed Optimus Mini 3 version 2.0, smaller, three-buttoned version of the Maximus keyboard. Following the success of Optimus Mini 3 v 2.0, Art Lebedev is in the process of making the next generation of Optimus Mini 3, which is wireless, possibly Bluetooth and AC-powered. The picture below is the version 2.0 of Optimus Mini 3 since they still don’t have the picture of version 3.0. Really looking forward to see the prototypes.
