When closed, the Firefly design uses negative space to dissect its overall shape into three distinct sections. The bold breaks and gaps give the design a layered look and hint at the promise of kinetic transformation as the system is opened.

Roozbeh Mousavi of Art Center College of Design has come up with a Rolling Bag that can be easily carried on uneven pavements, big gaps and bad weather conditions such as snow which makes pulling luggage with small wheels very difficult. C&C reconfiguring drainer to better keep sink traps and pipes free from hair-clogging. The principle of C&C is the use of two cones ? one being inverted so that the vertices almost meet ? placed within the drainer. The C&C conical surface of the cone above is perforated with fine gaps, which trap the hair at the bottom, without reducing the speed of water discharge.
