6. Slider Folding Bike Bicycle by Paul Hao Ting Hsu
A friendly folding bike for women. The designer thinks that our current folding bike is unfriendly to women, thus, he decided to come up with bike design for female cyclist and use gravity to make folding process easier. The main frame uses diamond shape with structure and handle place that can reduce the folding process. It takes about 2 seconds to fold out with the help of gravity strength.

8. Tesera Fully Automatic Tea MacHine by Tobias Gehring
Tesera simplifies the process of tea making by setting new standards of perfect tea brewing while still respecting the tea atmospheric ceremony. Fill the special jars with loose tea, with adjustable brewing time and water temperature, it can produce perfect tea into transparent glass chamber. There’s a tray that can be removed for serving.

9. Smartstreets-smartbin Cigarette/Gum Bin by Andrew Farish
One of the world problems is cigarette and gum litters which are responsible for over 50% litter discarded every year worldwide. It needs new approach to encourage people to dispose this waste appropriately. Andrew Farish has come up with cigarette/gum bin with unique capabilities. It can be install onto a lamp post or a sign post which makes it within reach of everyone on the street. It’s a street furniture which will add value to existing infrastructure.

10. VSA – Vertical Solar Aircraft by Arman Abadi
Futuristic vertical solar aircraft which features delta wings and is able to reach the speed up to 250 to 300 km/h. The aircraft uses 3 engines which one of them is used for vertical take off and the other 2 are used to land on a runway.

Pininfarina Sergio Features Virtual Windscreen and Gull-Wing Doors

Pininfarina Sergio sports car is named after the man who was responsible for Ferrari for 40 years and conceived the iconic Ferrari classics. This amazing concept car has been designed and created in order to celebrate the great life of Sergio Pininfarina, a two-seater barchetta, futuristic, sporty, compact, yet pure and sensual. This is the real open air car inspired by 1965 dino berlinetta speciale, there’s no cupola installed to protect the passengers, thus 2 helmets should be worn when driving this car. Drivers can activate aerodynamic deflector in front of the cockpit to create virtual windscreen by deviating the air flow to protect the passengers from turbulence.

Remember the iconic gull-wing style doors of Ferraris in the 60’s? Pininfarina Sergio reminds you of these wings by compacting all volume accessories as much as possible. Extremely light, this concept sports car appears to float with the front up, it’s the result from extensive aerodynamic research.

Loupe Concept Remote Control : Smart Future Technology for Older Generations

Loupe is a new generation concept remote control of a smart TV. The design focuses on creating a “Telefriend”, opposite to the simple-minded mechanical “Telecommande” of today. This futuristic remote is the user’s highly personalized friend, following the trend of individualized “smart” technologies and devices.

The main idea is a “magnifying glass”, a remote that would reveal all the intricate and complex features to the user. These industrial designers focus more on the older generation people, those that might need more assistance understanding the swiftly advancing TV technology. The remote itself would also have actual magnifying features to facilitate helping this demographic and translating almost an analog, understandable method into newer technology.

R1 Concept Car for 2030 by Nicholas Evans

R1 concept car for 2030 uses hydrogen fuel cell technology to produce zero emission vehicle, yep, an engine that burns pure hydrogen produces zero pollution. As you can see here, this future car features F1 box shaped body design, it’s definitely not conventional design that you’ve seen before. Instead of wheels, R1 users spheres for unparalleled control and turning, parking shouldn’t be an issue.

Inside, R1 concept car offers spacious area for passengers where it can be customized according to the owner’s taste. This is highly possible due to the smaller and more compact hydrogen tank used in this vehicle. R1 has been designed with 1+1 layout which means the hydrogen tank is located behind the rear-seat passenger and within the shallow floor. It is ideal for traveling in small group in urban environment.

Gyro Two Wheeled Gyroscopically Stabilized Electric Vehicle by Carlos Pilonieta

Gyro has been designed as two wheeled gyroscopically stabilized electric vehicle. User can drive this futuristic vehicle electronically by allowing necessary movement from its high-tech cockpit. GPS, Bluetooth, internet, everything can be operated from a touch screen or voice command. Inside this car, you are connected to the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Future technology incorporated inside Gyro allows the driver to move forward, backward, and sideways. This car responds to electronic sensors to keep vehicle in your desired position. This capability has been designed to accommodate transitions between urban and suburban or rural lifestyles. In the more confined space of the city, due to traffic and limited parking space, the Gyro is best used in the vertical position. When the driver leaves the city to enjoy more relaxed and open spaces, the horizontal position is ideal. To further enjoy open spaces, the Gyro includes a bike rack storage component that is capable of transporting 2 bicycles.

Airblow 2050 : Futuristic Umbrella Without Fabric, Would You Use It?

Airblow 2050 is your futuristic umbrella concept. This project has been designed as part of James Dyson Award based on the idea how unpractical our conventional umbrella is. As you already know, umbrella causes your floor wet, users collision, and turns inside out when strong wind blows. Keeping this in mind, the designer played with the idea what if there’s no fabric? What can we use to protect us from the rain?

Airblow 2050 has been designed based on Dyson’s technology, it utilizes Dyson digital motor to inhales air and blows it out and create invisible protection dome to bounce any water drops. User can open this concept umbrella and turn on the motor to create air dome, pretty cool, isn’t it? One thing for sure, you will not able to use this umbrella to protect you from the sun.

Dolphin concept car is the third winner of Michelin design challenge 2013, it reflects the principle of sporty, scientific and futuristic. This car looks great as a sportscar yet it can accommodate members of a family. The body structure is constructed from full transparent glass and carbon fiber, light weight design to ensure security as well as reduce the energy consumption. The main theme of this competition is “Half! Lightweight with passion”, thus resulting a concept car that boasts smart technology with lightweight body, effectively reduce any energy consumption for better environment.

BioThink, a futuristic vehicle for future mega-cities where we need sufficient and sustainable transportation for personal mobility on the streets. BioThink has been designed with 2 models (type A and type B) which both are smart vehicle with AI for future mega-cities. Only the owner of the vehicle can access it because BioThink is equipped with DNA Security Key, therefore, each vehicle is completely custom made for the owner not for anyone else.

The type A is 2 passengers vehicle with bionic form and mechanism that provide speed, safety and comfort due to its nature’s design. It features Rotary-Crawling wheels that get its power from solar energy transformed into electricity and magnet for future roads. The type B features Gyroscopic wheels that utilize the same solar energy to power itself. The designer vision of future road, it’s equipped with intelligent traffic system that prevents any crash, you won’t be dealing with traffic jam or whatsoever.

DesignworksUSA E-Patrol : Futuristic Human-Drone Pursuit Vehicle Concept

It is nice to see big auto manufacturers vision of future highway patrol, this time the concept comes from BMW Group DesignworksUSA, E-Patrol. It’s a human-drone pursuit vehicle for Los Angeles in 2025. Based on their research, they predicted that the street of LA would become more crowded with faster and eco-friendly vehicles, thus making a team of patrol officer is highly required to keep the safety of the highway. The design focuses on modular structure and drone technology to improve both teamwork and accessibility. The main structure of E-Patrol can deploy 3 drones, so in the case of a pursuit in heavy traffic areas, patrol officers sitting in 2-passenger main structure can deploy a flying drone or a single wheel drone to chase the suspect while reporting real-time data to the main structure.

Futuristic TriMove Motorbike by Mohammad Ghezel

Futuristic TriMove motorbike is a three-wheel concept vehicle that utilizes electromechanical technology to support any complex movement in any part of its body and wheel. As you can see here, the three wheels are arranged in triangle shape to keep the balance while not on-the-move. Its 3 disc braking system means it requires less braking space. Equipped with 2 LCD display, driver can easily see any information about the bike such as current speed, battery life and time.

There are many 3-wheelers out there which offer weird and bad design with many exposed elements, some even difficult to lean into corners. TriMove motorbike features narrow body that provides agility and aerodynamic styling you would expect from a fierce motorbike.

Honda CHP Drone Squad : Futuristic Highway Patrol Vehicle for 2025

Honda has envisioned Highway Patrol Vehicle for 2025 with its latest concept Honda CHP Drone Squad as response to LA AUTO Design challenge. It’s a futuristic vehicle system with advanced technology for 2025 to work efficiently and effortlessly through out harsh environment of California highways. It’s been carefully designed so that the highway doesn’t have to build new infrastructure.

Honda CHP Drone Squad consists of a 2 vehicle system: Auto-Drone and Moto-Drones. Auto-Drone can be operated as a manned or un-manned mission control vehicle, it deploys Moto-Drones, un-manned motorcycles which can be used for wide variety response or rescue missions.

Futuristic Valkyrie Electric Motorcycle Concept Was Inspired by Porsche 911 Sportscar

Valkyrie electric motorcycle concept was inspired by the iconic Porsche 911 sportscar, it blends futuristic design, sleek, and classic style. It defines new meaning of zero-emission motorcycles not only in term of eco-friendly but also beauty and performance for design conscious people.

There’s no combustion engine used, this means the body of this bike is much leaner and lighter, offering a futuristic and elegant profile with dynamic grille at the bottom to improve air flow and ventilation. Titanium aluminum alloy frame is used to support the bike while at the same time revealing the character of latest Porsche hybrid technology, array of batteries and electrical wiring infrastructure. The digital sensors equipped in this bike provides dynamic feedback to adjust suspension or other settings based on riding conditions, yep, a smart bike isn’t it?
