Zero, Eco Friendly Vehicle

To address the increasing verticality of urban centers and the zero impact mentality, Natalie Bonebrake started by raising the transport of the terrain thus removing its footprint. The vehicle hangs from a magnetic levitation track; this removes the need for the vehicle to have an on-board power source eliminating localized emissions, except for the electromagnetic radiation and dramatically lightening the vehicle. There is also an option for a drive train for tracking use.

Once in the pod, a destination is entered and the rail system powers the pod through the city along the appropriate route. This allows the users the comfort of taxi or subway but without all the waiting and expensive fairs.Alone the pod allows the users to travel effortlessly through the city, but once connected to the chassis it becomes even more dynamic! This system allows the user to enjoy the freedom of having a car without all the responsibilities of having a car!

Futuristic Radia Cellular Phone Concept

As cellular phones become a standard, the statement they make as a symbol and a fashion accessory has become increasingly important. The Radia phone concept expresses simplicity in form and sophistication in function and user interface. The outer rim, which is made of brushed aluminum makes both a refined and professional statement. The touch-display is large enough to read and display many types of information, yet small enough to maintain a pocket-sized device. Simplicity is also expressed in the power button, which is flanked by the earpiece speaker, and balanced by the microphone which is 180 degrees around the perimeter. The designer, Michael Laut (http://www.mikelaut.com) is currently a student at North Carolina State University’s College of Design (ncsudesign.org)

Futuristic Landmark Bus Shelter (It Changes Color)

The Landmark bus shelter is the central component of a product family that has been developed as a uniform design concept for the city furnishing of Hamburg in order to convey a harmonious overall image of the urban area. Modern elements and clear lines enable a universal use of this bus shelter. Integrated into one of the two side walls is an advertising showcase for double-sided posters in the City Light format. The right side wall contains a lighting system that shines in changing colors. This provides for alternating light and color moods at night. Thus, the bus shelter is stage set as an item of street furniture and moved into the focus of attention.
