Samsung has organized young design award for the third time this year aiming to find out the creativity of young Italian design students focusing on sustainable and functional digital household solutions to improve the living quality of the future civilization. Following are the 9 finalist projects that was exhibited in the award ceremony held at Triennial in Milan.

The Cargonaut concept is designed for a revolution in urban transit that will relief people off their loads during traveling. With the day by day technological development in miniaturization, in future, the portable devices will become easy to carry. But since the city travelers are mostly loaded with heavy luggage, shopping bags and groceries, that are not compressible, an alternative may require to serve this purpose. Cargonaut is a humanoid flight robot that will deliver your luggage exactly at your chosen destination within minutes and according to the concept, these sky boxes will be available in a certain publicly place.

Nissan Nuvu is a concept designed to offer next generation car from Nissan with rear-mounted electric motor and lithium ion battery pack. The design of this concept car is quite unusual and small. For city use, the Nuvu’s performance is more than adequate. Across the all-glass roof are a dozen of small solar panels. Basically, natural, organic and recycled materials are used to make its cabin. The steering of the car is very direct for quickness and maneuverability in the city. No one will have any problem in crowded roads and limited parking slots with this tomorrow’s city car.

The Icon A5 aircraft is a 2-seater sports airplane for the masses. It is solely designed for personal use. ICON A5 is lighter in weight and is amphibious with retractable landing gear for flying off in both water and land. Different features of this aircraft include carbon fiber airframe, folding wings, and unique engine that allow it to run on both aviation gas and auto. Now you do not need think of any destination in order to spend your vacations because ICON A5 can make your coming vacations unforgettable and absolutely safe. It is safe because it has propeller guard and built-in parachute that can be easily used in case of any emergency, very useful aircraft.

In the 21 century people are still cleaning the street with basic tools: broom, scoop and can. It’s hard and clumsy, but still very important for the people and quality of city life. The main problems of street cleaning are : the use of broom and scoop at the same time, transference of the garbage from the scoop to the cart can, lack of space for personal bag or other tools, most cleaning carts have poor image.
Zvulun – street cleaning cart with scoop device in front of the cart and cylindrical can between 2 big wheels. The cart makes the work more comfortable, fast and effective. The broom is installed in the static side of the wheel. The cart is supplied with a big cell for personal needs. Design of the cart was inspirited by hi-tech style and ancient transport. The frame of the cart is made of iron. A can, scoop and the cell was made of recycled plastic injection. The wheels are filled with silicone rubber.
