The Volkswagen L1 is a concept car, designed in a fuel efficient way that can propel around 100 kilometers or 62 miles by using one liter of fuel. Recently the designers have prepared a prototype of this car by combining great aerodynamics, supremely efficient powertrain and lightweight engineering.
The powertrain of the VW has been furnished with two-cylinder, turbo-diesel 39-hp engine with a 14-hp electric motor. Besides, the car comprises a stop/start mechanism and a dual-clutch seven-speed transmission through which it can quickly reach 100 mph, while dropping the fuel economy to an extraordinary 1.38 liters per 100 km.

Dragonfly vertical farm is a concept urban farm specially designed for the Roosevelt Island of New York City which will reduce the problems associated with food shortage, mileage and connection between the producers and consumers. Because of the densely packed city civilization, this farm has been designed vertically, spanning 132 floors and 28 different agricultural fields for accommodating dragonflies aiming to produce fruit, grains, vegetables, meat and dairy. This Dragonfly wing shaped superstructure features wind and solar power producing capability and includes housing, offices, research labs and communal areas separated from farms, orchards and production rooms. Throughout the glass and steel set of wings, animal and plant farming is arranged as well as soil nutrient levels are maintained properly.

When it comes to talk about three wheelers, we feel that this concept is so unsuccessful in the marketplace because they do not make much sense. The intent of this design is to create a fully functional minimalist, expressive, and stylish concept vehicle. It is specifically designed for people who enjoy pursuing fun and elegant ride. The transparent roofing helps to highlight the overall body form and creates a post-contemporary feeling. It also helps to carry the reflection of the environment wherever it goes. It contains an ergonomically designed two-passenger seat, which offers comfortable and relaxing riding posture. The parts and fittings can be customized based on the riders favorite selection.

Mazda has come up with another brilliant concept of futuristic city car named “Kiyora”. In Japanese, Kiyora means ‘clean and pure’ and this concept car truly delivers what it means. It is a next generation four cylinder direct-injection engine which offers amazing fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Previous concept cars of Mazda were based on shapes like wind and sand whereas Kiyora is inspired by water design. Shape of water gives a totally unique and attractive look to this car. Even when the car is still, it gives the effect of flow and movement. The transparent doors catch one’s attention as they emerge as a flow of water with clean roof.

One of the models that sure will grab eye balls at this year’s Festival of Speed at Goodwood would be the Citroën’s C-Métisse concept. Its appearance is the first in the UK for this 155mph supercar which made its debut at the 2006 Paris Motor Show.
It’s marked by front and rear gull-wing doors, with an cockpit that is “aviation-style”, the and is powered by a 208bhp V6 HDi diesel engine. Also there are two separate electric motors placed on the rear wheels, enabling a top speed of 155mph, and reaches 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds while producing a torque of 400Nm, all this while retaining exceptional fuel economy a whopping 45 miles per gallon on the combined cycle! and maintaining low-emissions.
