Suzuki has announced its hydrogen motorcycle concept at Tokyo Motor Show last November, and the good news is they are ready to put this unconventional motorcycle into production. The crosscage concept motorcycle is a fuel-cell motorcycle in which a simple, compact, lightweight air-cooled fuel-cell system and a high-performance secondary battery are brought together in a way that realizes optimal power control. A fuel-cell unit from British specialist company Intelligent Energy delivers quick activation with low fuel consumption, and a lithium-ion battery combines safety with a low environmental burden. The simplicity, compactness, and lightness of these technologies not only make the crosscage environment-friendly; they also helped enable sporty styling befitting the Suzuki name.
This motorcycle was developed in conjunction with British Intelligent Energy, which make this a great collaboration since British Intelligent has its own hydrogen generation plants. Energy has a portfolio that includes a range of world-class fuel cell, fuel processing, desulphurization and hydrogen generation technologies. The companys existing home hydrogen generation system means youll be able to make your own hydrogen at home. So I guess this news means you will find this motorcycle in the nearest showroom somewhere near the future.

Do you think this would be the “Next Big Thing” in interior design ? Well, seeing the recent buzz of this product prototype, I believe so. FootLume basically is a rug that lights up when you step on it, pretty futuristic. The co-inventor Leona Dean said that the glow that the rug emits was very soft. “It can provide ambient mood lighting or flash in time to music as talking point at a party”, Leona Added. Footlume, powered by rechargeable batteries, works by responding to the weight applied when a person walks across the carpet.
Electroluminescence relies on an electric field to generate visible light. Other light producers include photoluminescence, which is used in many glow-in-the-dark toys; and chemoluminescence, which involves light-producing chemical reactions (as in the body of a firefly).

After solar powered notebook concept, here comes solar powered boat concept, and not just solar powered, but human powered too. The idea was to find a new way of classic pedal boat which became old, and nothing really new has been released for years. As you can see in the picture, 4 people can settle on the benches of the circular cockpit. But only two pedal head-to-head. In case of tiredness, it is sufficient to rotate the tower which supports the umbrella so that 2 other courageous persons can take over.
Feeling tired ? Users can lift up and seek help from the sun to lighten their efforts. The umbrella has indeed a solar panel connected to batteries that supply an electric motor hidden in the top of the tower. Whether pedal or hybrid mode (pedalling – electric), the bracket is connected to a shaft leading to two propellers at the bow of the boat. The two bars connected to the rudder are located in facing back of the bench. Incidentally, they also serve as armrests.
