The WHY yacht is a concept yacht dedicatedly focused on bringing luxury living lifestyle on the sea through offering maximum durability, space and cutting-edge technologies at every single turn. The yacht is contained in a triangle shaped hull measuring 58 x 38 meter and the interior is furnished with water resistant buffalo leather with calpinage technique. Aside from the 25 meter long seawater pool on the bow, the boat creates a completely flat water surface behind it, similar to an Olympic-size pool where boarders can swim in peace. The boat is powered by a diesel electric engine and a central computer manages the different sources of energy. Moreover, about 900 square meters of photovoltaic surface panel generates a part of the energy that is required to subsist the boat.

Usage of green energy is the top most priority for people who are conscious about their responsibility towards the nature and environment. Keeping this in mind the mPower system has been developed which generates huge energy at minimal effort. The slender body of the device and leaf like tip resembles the structure of a large leaf. The system, developed to take up the least amount of a user’s time and effort, can be adapted for the handicapped. A small portion of the electricity generated is used to power the interactive touch-screen at the top of the unit, which offers a broad range of informational services pre-customised by each user. The remaining majority of the electricity generated is sent to the city’s main power plant, to be used or stored. At their convenience, users receive payment for the electricity they generated by accessing their account at mPower Collection.
mPower Collection is a unit that, using the same fingerprint recognition technology, distributes payment and allows for account customisation to users of mPower Generation.

Check out this innovative transportation concept known as Freewill Urban – Intercity Commuting vehicle designed by Jinn Wong. This vehicle is a personal commuting assistant which helps in daily travel for the journey between the train station and the user’s destination. This vehicle consists of three-wheels with a long handle designed to pull the vehicle in an indoor environment. Freewill Urban is powered by two individual motors in the hub area of the two front wheels. Each motor controls each wheel separately. The vehicle uses oval shaped form and curves in order to offer styling approach. So, you can surely try out this electronic scooter for short distances.

All conceptual designs today are based on two key platforms: Sustainability and environmental friendly. Here comes the modular kitchen design by Kate Jaclin, from Queensland University of Technology which aims to create a kitchen by which the user can connect with nature and be aware of natural resources like water and energy. So the kitchen waste water can be recycled via the solar energy which can be used again while the organic waste can be used for the attached kitchen or vegetable garden. The kitchen can be refurbished easily and the recycled bio-plastic materials used, have been designed for injection molding. It also is ergonomically designed with prime emphasis being given to user safety.

Avery Holleman has developed a PC design that can turn out to be a very useful tool on your conference tables. Named as Napkin PC, the design resembles a Napkin holder, which combines multiple touch screen devices within a collaborative network. The digital pens which are a part of the device allow the users to draw on the touch screens what you would do with a pen on a napkin. As per the designer, the reason for creating the concept was to enable users to interact with any number of interfaces connected in the same network. Of course this is one napkin wherein one won’t feel embarrassed keeping notes.
