Slide Future Smart Car for Urban Space

Slide is a city car for one individual, in which you don’t sit but stand. The low cross-section in this case should be effective against the parking situations of tomorrow. Unnecessary empty rides of one individual in a car with two or four seats, especially in the city, belong to the past. Through an open design and the upright position during the ride, the user is able to communicate with the other participants of traffic in a special way. They are in an equal position of eye height with pedestrians and cyclists. The drive of Slide works about the clean electrical engine technology. New, lightweight and innovative materials, like Maylar plastic film and Carbon fibre, for motorcars stands in a balance to the new drive technology.

Mides Design Green Jet Yacht, Sailing To The Future …

Designed by Erik Sifrer, the Green Jet of Mides design is with all the anticipated quality, technology, and appointments but the thing, which stands out, is its environmentally friendly primary power source – wind. The upper deck has a wave like design, which is split, into two sections; the front one is for the crew members and the pilothouse whereas the mid section and the rear is for the owner and the guests. The central gyroscope build up Jacuzzi pool acts as a visible divider between the two areas. When the sails are up, the rigging appears so alluring almost sculpture like.

Not only this, but the pool is also designed to create a connection between and water outside. The skylight windows around the pool allows the light to pass into the large main salon of the Green jet, which gives a stunning effect of lavishness in the water

Fisker Karma Hybrid Sports Car

Fisker Karma is a hybrid sports car with sleek and luxury design. This environmentally friendly car is powered by Q-Drive, a system developed by Quantum Technologies that combines a four-cylinder engine sending power to a generator to propel the four-door sedan. Fisker claims that Karma can perform at 0-60 mph in 6 seconds, top speed of 125 mph, pretty cool for a hybrid car.

Fisker Karma has two different modes, “Stealth Drive” which is a pure electric mode and “Sports Mode” which integrates the four-banger for peak performance, and according to Fisker, this will make the Karma sound like a combination of a jet fighter and an F1 car.

Environmentally Friendly Solar Shades Canopies

As the primary energy sources is depleting by the day, the emphasis is to find alternative energy sources. Solar energy is turning out to be one viable solution. Many devices are being developed keeping in mind the immense capability the solar energy can provide us. While doing this the prime motto is conservation. What best to do than to teach the same to the kids in school so that as the new generation grows up, they do so with conserving energy? Keeping the same in mind, Australian designers Buro North has come up with Solar Shades which educates school children of primary level about energy collection from the sun. It also provides shades to the playground.

The canopies (which look more like giant duck feet) have solar cells on top. The large handles on the base ensures that the canopy can be rotated by teachers or pupils to get the most efficient orientation from the sun throughout the day. The LED displays, communicate the energy generated and if the device needs to be turned around.

Green Technology Tower with Wind Turbines at The Corners

The concept of “Clean Technology Tower” is brought to you by Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill. This building will be built in Chicago as highly efficient building. They plan to put the wind turbines in each of the corners of the building, to make sure it captures the wind at its highest velocity as it accelerates around the tower. At the apex, where wind speeds are at a maximum, a domed double roof cavity directs the wind towards an array of wind turbines. The negative pressure created by the turbines will be used to ventilate interior spaces. The dome itself is shaded by solar cells that capture the southern sun. These systems provide both comfort and energy to the space. Building on principles of biomimicry, Clean Technology Tower utilizes advanced technologies and climate-appropriate building systems to foster a symbiotic relationship with its local environment.
