Museum of Ephemera is redesigned version of Museum of Wellington City and Sea which has been crafted keeping the historic components of the existing building and modern facilities in mind. The recently modernized historic Board Room as well as the original staircase was turned into place holders which shows the new intervention. The designer not only emphasized on the historic elements of the existing building, but also the role of the building over its historic period was kept intact during the challenging renovation of this building to obtain a strong position in the modern world.

Dragonfly vertical farm is a concept urban farm specially designed for the Roosevelt Island of New York City which will reduce the problems associated with food shortage, mileage and connection between the producers and consumers. Because of the densely packed city civilization, this farm has been designed vertically, spanning 132 floors and 28 different agricultural fields for accommodating dragonflies aiming to produce fruit, grains, vegetables, meat and dairy. This Dragonfly wing shaped superstructure features wind and solar power producing capability and includes housing, offices, research labs and communal areas separated from farms, orchards and production rooms. Throughout the glass and steel set of wings, animal and plant farming is arranged as well as soil nutrient levels are maintained properly.

There are many people inhabiting and starving in the big city’s streets and the main goal of the Colibri Food Dispenser is to provide food for those people. This concept is just like a “bridge” between the excess foods and the underfed who is searching for leftovers constantly. Both the external cover and the internal structure are made of steel and this box will provide good safety against vandalism and climatologically bad conditions. The container with dimensions : 183 cm (H) x 50, 5 cm (W) x 54 cm (D), includes an antimicrobial outside layer and is totally recyclable. Additionally, elements like an individual system for food packaging and a cooling system are being used to assure better food preservation.

When it comes to reasons to live, art and human interaction top the list for Carson Hill, painter, tattoo artist, and inventor. “Art is very inspiring – to me the universe and everything in it is art,” said Carson. Steve Johnson, Carson’s right hand at Neuma (the company behind the Neuma Hybrid) comes from a very different, but no less creative world. The idea for Amuen (am-yoo-en) struck when Carson and Steve realized there was a need for a site that welcomes creatives and artists of all types. No matter what your medium, there are elements of the creative process that transcend any one discipline.
Why the name Amuen? Well, Amuen is a type of African word that means “spirits,” – a nod to the creative spirit within each of us. Neuma on the other hand, is Latin for “spirited” or air-powered. Oh, and if you hadn’t noticed, Amuen is Neuma spelled backwards. But that’s strictly coincidence.
