E-Ink is a concept display technology with very thin, durable, flexible and low power attributes, which is also referred to as an electronic paper sometimes. This project is a continuum challenge for the designers to create innovative applications for this unique technology. Among many, we think that one compelling solution was to evolve the E-Ink film into the top exterior of a snowboard, since the riders of snowboards often require information about the mountain they are surfing and don’t want to take the hassle of pulling a compass, maps or other supplies. The E-Ink technology, with the stability and low power attributes, has made it an ideal fit for this application.

The frame can be fitted in front of your bed with embedded, and the device will wake you up alarm at your desired time with an updated feed of news on its large, crystal clear LCD display. This handy gadget is able to connect to the internet and will provide the latest news to the readers; even you can save a copy of these magazines or books in the device itself. Aside from that, you will be able to make favorites of your preferred pages, books or even a single column from a magazine. The main objective of this project is to raise the awareness of the global warming that is increasing day by day and take necessary action against its effects.

The widespread of e-books or electronic books have forced the gadget designers to produce some handy devices that may overcome the hassles and inconveniences associated with reading in a monotonous computer screen. Therefore, e-book readers, one of the most useful creations of recent world, have been introduced by several manufacturers with many different functional features, so that the reader can feel like reading a paper book. Most of the e-book readers feature portability of handhelds along with a higher resolution screen to ensure readers convenience. The average size of a good quality e-book reader is almost as an average size paper book and weighted only a few hundred grams.

The new watch design by French designer Julien Bergignant is a nice concept which sure is second name of convenience. The watch made from electronic paper, is called Tima watch and can simultaneously display both digital as well as analog time. The good part is that the watch can show two different time zones together though the display is simultaneous. Looks wise too, the watch comes quite chic as the color chosen being black which of course by all means has a very rich and classy look. Thus, one can say that the designer has hit the right chord by creating this design.
