For visually impaired people, it’s pretty frustrating when they have to deal with so many plugs for so many electric devices. Braille Electric Plug Tags have been designed to solve this issue especially when our collections of electrical devices are usually growing which results in using more plugs. It would be very easy to identify which plug for which device with these tags, in this way, people with visual impairment don’t have to rely solely on their memory to recognize each plug which in a multi-socket power board.
Braille Electric Plug Tags are made from thick and stiff fabric attached with Velcro. It provides information of the device type through various indicators such as Braille, an English abbreviation or a raised icon. One side shows Braille system and the other side displays icon and abbreviation.

We often take electricity for granted, because it’s invisible and intangible, but please take a minute to consider how much it helps in our everyday life. Zwei21 Interioricity lamp has been designed in respect of electricity, let’s face it, we really depend on it and hardly can survive without it. Electricity can become dangerous and complicated technical thing but on the other hand, it helps us operate so many electrical devices to make our life easier, from coffee maker to washing machine.
Keeping this in mind, these two industrial designers from Zwei21 have developed Interioricity lamp, a simple lamp combined with an extension cord.
“Colored textile cables, plugs, lampshades and joints can be combined and placed in various constellations. The extension cord with the plug works as a cable storage on the wall. The setting can either consist of one single cable or there can derive up to three cables from the joint. The ends can be equipped with electric plugs or LED lamps. All lamps and plugs can be hung or placed on a desk. Metal frames hold the lampshades in position.”
Designers : Jasmin Kastner and Marc Joschko

SOLARIS is a sun shading system which uses solar energy to create new work and leisure spaces. It allows you to work/study in outdoor places such as cafés, parks, and beaches by creating a shaded area and providing a power source for electronic devices. SOLARIS aims to promote new experiences and habits for a more sustainable and socially inclusive city landscape.
SOLARIS has 6 “wings”, each with two photovoltaic panels, which revolve around a central column for easy stowing. When opened, the wings work as a sunshade, with photovoltaic cells that charge a set of batteries in the base. In the central column there is a LED display power indicator. Three electrical sockets are available in the base, for charging portable computers, cell phones or any kind of electronic devices. A silicone shock absorbing colored strip at the base protects the structure and creates an electrical neutral area with a handle for transportation.

These days, it’s really hard to survive without our electrical devices. For me, I couldn’t live without my cell phone, laptop, and ipod. One fundamental problem with our dependence to those electronic gadgets is the power supply. Cyclus is the solution for generating power without giving negative impact to our environment. No, it’s not another solar panel gadget. Cyclus has been designed to generate power anytime, anywhere. Its main power source is “spring” and 12V DC motor, user can twist the bottom component of the product. For the next 30 minutes, Cyclus constantly generates power that is strong enough to charge your daily portable gadgets.

Do you know the motion of your body can actually charge an MP3 player? Yes, it is something new and exciting. Shake is a design concept that makes use of kinetic energy in order to charge the battery. A person just needs to shake his/her body for recharging the battery. Just turn on the “Hold” button and start shaking and once the battery is charged, you can turn off the “Hold” button to play and pause the MP3 player. You must have heard of the pocket watch with same concept but giving life to an electronic device with your physical actions is unbelievable.
