The Onyx; this was the model mobile phone which took the more traditional keypad to a whole new level by introducing the touch screen edge. With just a finger or a joystick you could click your way to revelation. But even with the pomp and color that Synaptics and Pilotfish, who are interface developers and industrial studio designers respectively, launched Onyx, it still wasn’t good enough to get sold.
But it may have become the harbinger of future mobile phone concept developments. With Pilotfish, a new development in the concept of phone music editing was born. The Ondo combines the touch screen ability with a back that lithely twists and turns to allow for fast and comprehensive editing of desired music on the phone.
This new concept according to Pilotfish is a bid to lessen the burden of mobile phone manipulation especially for those who find it hard to even understand the features and also make music enthusiasts happy. Of course we can not conclusively judge the efficiency of this designed concept but the need for a classy easy to use music editor has always been in the heart of mobile phone music lovers who want a calling phone with an Ipod like concept among its features.

This trashcan designed by Constance Guisset and Cid Gregory’s seems to take the age old adage that to save space go upward! This trashcan has three separate containers for disposing different types of trash. It is a perfect companion for those who like to keep the recyclable trash separate. The trashcan is accessed by the three foot pedals each with opening in a different manner for easy accessibility like the middle unit opens horizontally sliding out or the top container’s lid or the last unit tilts the bottom container forward. There is a provision for dispenser bag as well thus it’s a product with practical solutions.

The Smooth car concept designed by Milan based Italian Industrial designer, Stefano Marchetto is a head turner. Named as Smooth, the car sticks to its name both in terms of its design and usage. Smooth is urban transport vehicle with frontal access to the cabin. Chassis in extruded aluminium, external body in aluminium plates with square wave section. As far as the design is concerned, this two-seater is one straight arch, with ample amount of leg and head room. The spacious doors allow easy entry and exit into and out of the car. Also there is ample amount of boot space if one wants to travel with luggage. Also due to its design it does not take much of road or parking space either thus it’s a good urban vehicle.
