The new backpack designed by Brooklyn based designer student Vanessa Marie is surely a practical solution for all those who have security concerns while riding their bicycles late at night. The designer being a cyclist herself was inspired to design this backpack which she rightly calls ‘Night Day Backpack’. It is versatile and chic. The flaps placed on the back have magnets inside them ensuring that they are in place whenever, one jumps over those bumps on the road and the added advantage is that the same becomes visible in the night when flipped up. Thus, one can ride without any apprehensions and enjoy the ride through and through.

In a mood to maneuver the streets, then the new SoulArc Board is sure something that will help you doing the same. Though at the first glance it looks like a normal skateboard, but it has a rigid top while the below-deck composite spring provides the action and the feeling one gets is that of surfing. Designed by Mitch Mulder, along with Salvaore Vilardi, the whole design is dependent on the performance spring, which has undergone various adjustments like size, shape and material selection etc. The overall ride is quite smooth and unmatched to give that surfing experience. The TX54 is a concept design which featured in the global design competition organized by Timex in collaboration with Core77. The design competition was held to commemorate 150 years of watch crafting and time keeping. The device is transparent and needs to be kept at the thumbnail or stays clear till the time it is activated. To activate or check time, one can just glance at the time when needed. It is small, chic and minimalist. Of course one can simply glance at their cell phone than going for another gadget but with its looks and various modes it a nice way to keep time.

Now this is what I call a very cool wall, water walls, designed by MIT and was unveiled on Thursday at the opening of the Zaragoza World Expo in Spain. This is the first kind of Digital Water Pavilion that creates spaces and dynamically adjust to people and conditions. The idea of this water pavilion is based on the challenge of how to make fluid reconfigurable architecture, and MIT is trying to answer that question with its water walls.
