Dragonfly vertical farm is a concept urban farm specially designed for the Roosevelt Island of New York City which will reduce the problems associated with food shortage, mileage and connection between the producers and consumers. Because of the densely packed city civilization, this farm has been designed vertically, spanning 132 floors and 28 different agricultural fields for accommodating dragonflies aiming to produce fruit, grains, vegetables, meat and dairy. This Dragonfly wing shaped superstructure features wind and solar power producing capability and includes housing, offices, research labs and communal areas separated from farms, orchards and production rooms. Throughout the glass and steel set of wings, animal and plant farming is arranged as well as soil nutrient levels are maintained properly.

Let’s face it…public restrooms are a necessary part of life. They are often unsanitary, broken, outdated, and generally only used when there is no alternative. The products and systems that inhabit them have evolved only incrementally. The sync system represents a shift in the product category, pushing boundaries to deliver an enhanced public washing experience. Sync is a modular, no-touch hand cleansing/drying system that addresses these concerns by applying new technology and re-thinking the user’s work flow. The system replaces the current landscape of public sinks and hand drying systems by combining the two functions into one station. It delivers a noticeably ‘cleaner’ aesthetic, saves space and energy, simplifies the washing/drying experience, and improves restroom traffic flow.
High-pressure jets spray a mist of mild, ozonated water that sterilizes germs and bacteria, while providing a physical agitant to remove grime.After a 5 second wash cycle, the system begins blowing air from above, and sucking air in from below at a high speed, providing a fully cyclical airflow (shorter drying time). The air blows until the user removes hands from the field. Placing hands in Sync begins an automatic cleansing/drying cycle.

We always love portable gadgets, even a washer goes portable now. LOTOS is a compact, little power washer which is developed for mobile use. Smaller cleaning jobs can be settled with an amount of 12 litres of water. The product consists of a tank, a motor device and a spray-pistol. Easy handling is guaranteed by an innovative and flexible water-tank system. In empty and idle state LOTOS can be packed and stored space-saving. The required spraying power is created by a strong lithium-ion accumulator. I-Save is a bathroom concept that save space as well as water in your bathroom. Bathroom is usually neglected space in the overall plan of residences, with that problem in mind, the designers are trying to create a bathroom concept that save space and water as well. I-SAVE combines the lavatory, the basin and the bath as a single unit in order to save space, while it’s still maximizing its use.
I-SAVE bathroom concept reuses the water from showers and hand washing for flushing the lavatory. Do you know that people typically use 5-10 litres of water per minute during showering ? An average shower of 5 minutes would produce 25-50 litres of waste water, whereas the lavatory only consumes 12 liters of water per flush. Thus, based on the above statistics, the eco friendly bathroom I-SAVE unit will help to save substantial amounts of water which could then be put to other uses.

This combination of drier and cleaner can be a great help if we can have it, thanks to Qian Jiang & Feijun Chen that came up with this concept. The form of the work derives from the towel in our daily life. It appears ordinary, but it can unintentionally take care of our health. It can be recharged by the solar energy. And when we don’t use it, we can place it in the balcony to absorb the sunshine. It is our habit to use ultraviolet as disinfector in our daily life, when drying the towel, clothes and others. We hope that users continue to form the habit through the use of Drier and Cleaner. After washing hands, if we only use the hand drier, many bacteria will still remain on our hands. However, Drier and Cleaner will solve this problem in a healthier and greener way. This product is mainly suitable in the future family.
