The concept car design by Coventry University design student Da Feng is something that is far more than just a fragment of imagination. Made from carbon fiber frame, GYM as this concept car is called as a single seat concept car. This concept car is designed by being inspired by a gym as the car is more like a mini gymnasium. The adjustable seat and pedal are placed in a manner that the usage of the same makes the driver feel as if he is in a gym. The new bus design by industrial designer, Hugh Frost, is a perfect answer for the London’s congestion and pollution problems. The concept design is run on batteries hence is environment friendly. The Freight*BUS as it is called has the concept of “On-Route” as the fundamental base of the overall system and as per the designer, this massive new vehicle features an advanced technology and it can adapt as per the no. of passengers and freight. This flexibility is in part due to ceiling-suspended pairs of seats, which can be completely folded out of the way. The bus can ply during the day to ferry passengers across the city while during the off peak hours or in the night the bus can be utilized to transport goods, thus a good transport solution for sure.

The new concept car designed by Andre Fangueiro is an interesting concept both design and utility wise. As per the designer, the inspiration for designing “Caravela” has been to make the congested urban highway space more interesting with innovative designs. And it’s an icing on the cake if the car is eco friendly apart from being different and compact. It is based on the three – wheeled Piaggio Ape- which was designed for elderly people but what takes the cake in case of Caravela is the overall design element. Add to that, the zero emission hydrogen engine with a top speed of 70kmph, well now you have a winner at hand.

In this daily clogging of road and parking space it’s always the space for parking that seems to be the main issue. In such a scenario, the new urban vehicle design by David Goncalves is something that’s what the doctor ordered. The design called as Scarab by the designer is not only a concept that is aimed at occupying least road space, but also it occupies very little parking space too. The vehicle is completely collapsible and the complete process ensures that the vehicle is parked on just two wheels. A very nice thought that surely will find many takers.

The new touring boat designed for touring the waters of Ljunljanica River in Slovenia is surely a designer masterpiece. The boat named as “The Argo” can be termed as an eye candy as design wise it’s a beauty and is equivalent to what a convertible is to cars. The boat has primarily been designed to capture the picturesque locales of the surrounding areas of Ljunljanica River and being opened without any boundaries as it represents openness. Also the lack of boundaries depicts the closeness it can find to nature. This conceptual design has also won the BIO 21 Quality Concept Award. I must admit it deserves the same.
