The collapsible bicycle concept designed by Blair Hasty was primarily designed as a vehicle for daily transport usage. Featured in the 2004 International Bicycle Design Competition in Taiwan the concept has the pedals shifted to behind the driver so the overall weight transfers from the lower back to forearms and pelvic bone and the posture while the rider is prostrate while riding the bike. The designer has utilized the space by placing a large bag at the creating a thus creating storage space for the rider. Also to add on it is collapsible and the bag comes handy then. Crane vehicles are not new to you, but this one is a unique concept with a lifting capacity of 80 tons. There is a combined cabin for both driver as well as operator at the end of the supporting 2-piece hydraulic folding arm which can reach up to 8.5 meters of height. This concept vehicle can be helpful as the transport vehicle or to the crane operating position as on usual crane. On the first glance, this crane looks like a tank because of its heavy look. Its steering and functions are easily controlled with the help of joystick and pedals, pretty cool crane concept.

Outrigger legs are integrated to the warning stripped plates. Front part brings a new simplified system of hook transportation. Partially hidden hook allows better visibility out of the cabin. Rear part of superstructure can be fitted with additional counterweight. Rendered using Photoworks for Solidworks.

Auxiliary ladder can be removed from the front part and put anywhere around the platform.

What will city infrastructure and city transport, parking and fueling be like in the near future? Let’s take a look at your city from the height of a skyscraper, what will you see? There are green areas and water pools, round shape streets and austere simplicity of architecture, streams of hi-tech eco-vehicles and eye appealing blossoms of parked cars. You’d be glad to know that parking lots filled up with cars now produce oxygen so necessary for life. No more smog and polluted air, no more packed buses and fussy crowds with capca car concept.

Today many of the designers are designing concepts based on sustainability and environment friendliness. Also top on the priority is optimum utilization of available resources. On these lines comes the innovative design by India based Arun Thomas which as per him will come handy in the year 2020. Of course the idea is that the tractors may be used to take water to a destination and then the tank is designed such that it is self sufficient enough to pump water from and to the tank. Also the secondary cell attached produces electricity by converting the heat energy due to friction in other words its self produced energy through regenerative braking. A practical device with amicable solution.
