The collapsible bicycle concept designed by Blair Hasty was primarily designed as a vehicle for daily transport usage. Featured in the 2004 International Bicycle Design Competition in Taiwan the concept has the pedals shifted to behind the driver so the overall weight transfers from the lower back to forearms and pelvic bone and the posture while the rider is prostrate while riding the bike. The designer has utilized the space by placing a large bag at the creating a thus creating storage space for the rider. Also to add on it is collapsible and the bag comes handy then. So no need to look for parking space, take it straight to your workstation, plus it is healthier for your body by using bicycle for daily activities.

The new building concept designed by Zaha Hadid Architects in Farrer Road in Singapore would be an architectural wonder if one looks at the designs. The overall design wishes to communicate the florid vegetation in the Singapore’s climate. The overall project is organized into 7 towers growing from sunken private gardens in the landscape to the sky above. The lower floor highlight the point of buildings meeting the ground, yet providing private space for gardens and vegetation which is unique given the kind of construction involved. The overall look and feel of the tower is like petals blossoming and it sure will not just be an architectural marvel but a revolutionary one too.

BMW ZX-6 car concept came from the 3rd year students of Transportation Design School at Turin Based IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) for final project of Transportation Design (Designing the BMW of 2015) which is designed in partnership with BMW. The concept is focused keeping in mind the modern needs, tastes and life style of an individual. All the cars designed in this project looks like toy cars. You cannot even imagine them running on roads in the real life. There are different concepts of cars designed by the students and all of them are unbelievable in their design and concept. The new concept designed by Dutch designers Arthur Rottier and Peter Jongman can be defined in one word as “refreshing”. They call it WoonBox and it is revolutionary in combining the basic necessities which are identified in regular household. This device has a shower, toilet and a kitchen in a compact box like structure. Apart from being chic, it is mobile, mechanized and easy to set up. This makes it perfect for offices, parks as well as for locations wherever temporary set up is required. So surely it is a brilliant idea which takes care of all your basic needs.
Designed to serve as temporary residence in places where permanent homes are difficult to locate, Woonbox can be set-up in spaces like offices and parks as makeshift measures. Woonbox would also come in handy for the poor and homeless as well as the class of populace that cannot afford large permanent establishments.

A new architectural wonder is coming up in the Caribbean, with one of the best architects coming together to set up what can be said a destination to look for. In the Turks & Caicos archipelago, a 560 acre island is being developed which has about 124 villas and 154 residences in the cradle of nature. The project, set to be completed by 2010, will feature works by Shigeru Ban, David Chipperfield, Carl Ettensperger, Zaha Hadid, Kengo Kuma, Piero Lissoni, and Chad Oppenheim. With each architect worth his salt developing their projects, the highlight of the island is the whopping 30,000 sq ft spa by Mandarian Oriental with a luxury hotel and various eateries making it a perfect vacation destination.
