After design concept cars, here comes a designer helicopter. French fashion company Hermès has joined hands with Eurocopter, to create l’helicoptre par hermès, which would be a luxury helicopter. It was unveiled at the national business aviation association’s conference in Atlanta in 2007. The same was designed by Italian designer Gabriele Pezzini along with specialists from both houses. The basic idea was to design the same for a usual business man who can use the same for his travel. The base model is EC135 of eurocopter, which is lightweight and can be used for various purposes. The chair with its innovative storage/collapsibility can be used both for personal and as well as hospital. The upcoming recreational vehicle show in Dusseldorf, Germany surely has some innovative plans designed by automobile major Volkswagen. The auto major has come up with the Topos Caddy Sail Design Concept, which is a commercial van that has its inspiration drawn from the sailboat as it has its style and functionality to the boot. The concept vehicle has a wooden deck with aluminum rails. The deck can be bended which makes it a convenient to lay and stretch and enjoy sailing; for accessing your roof top sail the manufacturers have also made stairs on the back of the vehicle. The Audi O green car concept designed by Czech based designer Ondrej Jirec combines a stylish and sports car with a powerful audio system. Though the exterior uses the usual Audi styling, especially the grill which is neatly placed between the headlights; the glass windows in the doors are extending to the bottom adding to the overall design of the vehicle. The designer says that inspiration includes the previous Audi model, i-pod and music. It features an audio system, bluetooth and internet connectivity and a built in 650 GB hard drive. So be it a short or long drive you are never out of music with Audi O car.

Toyota Winglet is a prototype of future personal transportation, Toyota motors has come up with their version of walking assistant. Named as Winglet, it’s a personal transport assistant and is ridden in standing position. It has an electric motor, two wheels and an internal sensor for monitoring the user position. The unique parallel link mechanism allows the users to go forward, backward, and it turns by a simple shift of body weight, thus it comes handy even in crowded places. It ensures stability by making power adjustments and sure is one good walking assistant and suits the purpose for moving around safely and freely. Innovation in personal transportation is good, but this kind of transport will make our generation less walk and fatter.
