Cell Reading Bookshelves concept was inspired by the cell and was derived from the vital need of a place where an individual can read without any kind of disturbance. In order to make a dedicated place that offers the calm environment as well as comprehensive privacy, this design comprises two major parts. First one is an innovative book shelf where the user can keep books of almost any size. Second part is a big vacuole shaped reading room where the user can grovel or lie on the cushion while enjoying the pleasure of reading in a relaxed way. Moreover, this reading place includes adequate lightening facility for the readers.

Inspired by the design of a tree, this Matching Tree or Tree House is very useful concept for a librarian. It is shelving unit with a ladder built in to the bookcase in order to have all the books within one’s reach. One can easily adjust or extend ladder from floor to ceiling to reach to the higher shelves. This design submission came from Kuan-Sheng Wu, take a look at the V-shape of this concept, it assists to balance the weight of the bookcase and also protects it falling during an earthquake. The whole design attaches to the ceiling with the help of round discs that makes it completely freestanding. The Matching Tree is also one of IDSA 2008 finalists, congratulations !

YiAhn (pronounced “e-ahn”) is not just ordinary bassinet. It can adapt to keep pace the changing needs of a growing child. Designed by Chul Min, Kang as a gift for his new born, this bassinet was designed to meet the needs of each growth phase of the baby. When the baby outgrows the bassinet, YiAhn can be reused as entirely different products after a simple process of transformation.
Due to the fast growth of the baby, a bassinet itself can only be used only for three months. However, this bassinet can be reused as storage equipment (for example, as a toy bin and a mini bookshelf with drawers) once the first need (bassinet) is outgrown. As the toddler becomes a child, it can also be converted into a chair and table set for children. It is very easy to change the shape of the furniture; simple folding, with no use of tools, allows the piece of furniture to transform into new products. It can also be used as a bassinet again if the family has a second baby.
