Mantra is an automated life saving system concept aiming to tackle the beach safety issues that usually causes drowning casualties such as slow response time, inadequate surveillance, lack of lifeguard safety, and limitation of lifeguards as human. The Mantra concept contains small hairs with embedded electro sensors that detect distress and drowning people and swims up automatically to the spot. The victim them picked up carefully onto the built-in stretcher and it carries him or her on top of the water by using impellers and hydrofoils. There is always constant communication between the Mantra and beach lifeguards through which it carries the victim to a specified beach location where ambulance and medical team remains stand-by.

CarNurse is a concept vehicle aimed to provide medical support for wounded at public beaches. The vehicle includes enough open space to facilitate the wounded and also can carry the friends or relatives of the patient to handle the situation more efficiently. The design envisioned enough room for 3 lifeguards, 4 people and a stretcher for the wounded. If the wounded requires more specialized medical care, this vehicle can perform both on land and in water for quicker transportation. The car has emergency storage space at the bottom of the lifeguard’s chair and under the stretcher for medical equipments to handle critical situations.

Simple engineering and innovation can turn simple things into extra-ordinary and useful stuffs. The Leaf hammock is the prominent example of this. The rope cradles are quite common as they are used in gardens and beaches for short time relaxation. But the Leaf Hammock is a much improved version of the rope cradles and it is good enough to be used as a piece of contemporary furniture at home. The hammock is spacious and strong enough to accommodate two people. The parrot green oval frame holds the close-knit rope-net firmly which makes it durable and comfy as well. The Hammock is aesthetically pleasant and can enhance the interior of your room.

As explained by Mr. Mihai Panaitescu, 20, student of I.E.D. Turin major in Transportation Design the concept peugeot flux was to design a vehicle that pleases it’s occupants in every way. It’s versatility combined with it’s sportiness and the ability to use it in different environments are in my opinion some of the vehicle’s strong points.
Either as an explorer of sandy beaches, sweeping mountain roads, or simply commuting in the city, the Flux concept embodies a vehicle that is made to please.
