The TFL Bikeshare network concept outlines an efficient and healthy way to realize the ultimate solution for commuters. This concept comprises a foldable e-bike that can be rode from the home and deposited to modular mobile hub, and board a bus. Upon arrival at destination, another hub will be there to rent another bike through using the unique Oystercard which can be availed by leasing the service on a per trip or monthly basis.
The E-bike has been designed with airless tires, robust tubular construction and shaft drive, ensuring durability, while the luminated front bar and dazzling graphics increase the visibility and safety for the rider. E-bikes have designed to be folded quickly and intuitively by the user and deposit it into the storage modules after arriving to a transit hub. RFID technology has been utilized to charge the users on their Oystercard according to the amount of E-bike rental time. When docked, E-bikes act as hub seating and get charged for the next renter.

This concept is an architecturally designed safety bunker that is able to protect you when required. This concept bunker is comprehensively designed to endure people during the severe environmental situations that a massive bushfire may produce. This bunker contains a sitting arrangement for 3 to 4 person and adequate water preservation and food storage to keep the insiders alive for few days till the fire becomes under control.

The new complex coming up for the new headquarters of Antwerp Port Authority in Antwerp, Belgium can be stated to be a masterpiece. Being designed by London based architects Zaha Hadid Architects, the new extension is expected to be completed in 2013 and will house about 500 staff members, with the existing building will be refurbished so that the public counters, meeting rooms and offices be in that place. The new building which shall be five stories high will consist of auditorium and restaurant and additional offices and meeting rooms. It will be a towering structure overlooking the city and will sure be a monument to look out for.

The new art museum scheduled to be finished in 2009 has been inspired by nature and the way nature and its processes function. Designed by Paris based design firm R&Sie (n) architecture, even though on the first look, seems like an ice cavity but in fact it is carved out of wood and other eco friendly materials. Even the construction of this museum has been carefully planned so that the end result gives out an amorphous mix of structure which though looks disorderly but does have an identity of its own. It’s an interesting concept which inspires us to be responsible towards nature.

The concept of “Human Pump” designed by an innovative designer named Gunwook Nam uses kinetic energy created by human foot traffic to power the system of water pumps. Different pumps are interlaced into an architectural construction which is used for main walking routes by people. When people walk, the structure would store the energy and further uses this energy to pump water to the surface. This concept promotes building with sustainable and reusable materials.
