The closed spatial scheme has movement of passengers and inside, there are open spaces for relax, zones with countless sofas, café and a library, and the left part contains an open viewing platform. The décor of the entire structure has been enhanced with the horizontal and vertical beams that divides the inside platform space. SOLAQUA is a useful device, going to be used as a water disinfection unit in the rural areas of Sub-Saharan Africa. As per the design, this device will obtain infra-red and ultra-violet rays from the sun and will utilize them to eliminate pathogens of contaminated water. Unrefined water will initially pass through a filter of sari cloth to improve the effectiveness of solar water disinfection. A funnel of five taps fills five different bottles to acquire 10 liters of water. Then these transparent bottles are scattered on the ground to get maximum exposure to ultra-violet rays. The black rear surface of these bottles soaks up heat and the reflective inner surfaces imitate ultra-violate rays within the water.

ArmadaQuadrat team and Manuel Irritier have come up with a simple mobile phone for people who don’t need any features like camera, sms, GPRS, E-mail or Internet surfing. The phone is called Simplicity Phone and it is just a normal mobile phone which can only be used to receive and make calls. It has a touch screen display, which makes it more user-friendly. The design is also very simple which comes in a flip open form and it also has a digital clock in its cover so that you can see the time. It is very simple and quite affordable with no added complexities.

The next generation WowWee robots series from WowWee Robotics, takes robotics to the next generation. Set to be unveiled in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas later this week, the two playful companions are something that you more than asked for. The first one is Joebot, which is a regular fully loaded interactive friendly neighborhood robot which also has sense of humor up its sleeve. It also responds to key phrases using the sound sensors, so much so that one can make it dance to the tune as it replicates the same without a hitch. While the other one named Roborover is softer and down to earth version as it gradually gets comfortable with continuous interaction. Quite innovative one must say!
