The new Mazda Kazamai is sure a cynosure to the eyes. The vehicle will be unveiled at the 2008 Moscow Motor show. It’s an SUV concept with the nature inspired styling cues. The literal meaning of Kazamai in Japanese is ’swirling crosswinds’ which seems to have continued in the design with door panels having subtle lines which look like the lines created in the sand. The front and rear lights seem an extension of this inspiration. The glass roof is an extension of the windscreen and looks very stylish. It also comes with a 22″ wheels with a direct injection engine. Overall it is one hell of a looker.

All conceptual designs today are based on two key platforms: Sustainability and environmental friendly. Here comes the modular kitchen design by Kate Jaclin, from Queensland University of Technology which aims to create a kitchen by which the user can connect with nature and be aware of natural resources like water and energy. So the kitchen waste water can be recycled via the solar energy which can be used again while the organic waste can be used for the attached kitchen or vegetable garden. The kitchen can be refurbished easily and the recycled bio-plastic materials used, have been designed for injection molding. It also is ergonomically designed with prime emphasis being given to user safety.

Avery Holleman has developed a PC design that can turn out to be a very useful tool on your conference tables. Named as Napkin PC, the design resembles a Napkin holder, which combines multiple touch screen devices within a collaborative network. The digital pens which are a part of the device allow the users to draw on the touch screens what you would do with a pen on a napkin. As per the designer, the reason for creating the concept was to enable users to interact with any number of interfaces connected in the same network. Of course this is one napkin wherein one won’t feel embarrassed keeping notes. Two of the major problems with urban cycling are storage and security. The new retrofit folding handlebar design claims to solve both the issues. The folded handlebars thus form a steering lock, which when the bike is lent against a wall or post it eliminates the infuriating turning of the front wheel and provides security when parked outside. Thus one can make the cycles to be slimmer by replacing the handlebars of the existing full size bike that too at a fraction of the cost and also keep the efficiency of large wheels.
This reduced width and increased stability makes hallway storage hassle free and the advantage of being both increased security and convenience. Thus it allows speedy departure, thereby significantly increasing the frequency of bike usage. This slimmer version allows more bike storage in a given space.

Fisker Karma is a hybrid sports car with sleek and luxury design. This environmentally friendly car is powered by Q-Drive, a system developed by Quantum Technologies that combines a four-cylinder engine sending power to a generator to propel the four-door sedan. Fisker claims that Karma can perform at 0-60 mph in 6 seconds, top speed of 125 mph, pretty cool for a hybrid car.
Fisker Karma has two different modes, “Stealth Drive” which is a pure electric mode and “Sports Mode” which integrates the four-banger for peak performance, and according to Fisker, this will make the Karma sound like a combination of a jet fighter and an F1 car.
