Melbourne Taxi 2020 is a vehicular and systematic TAXI design concept which is proposed for Melbourne city for the year of 2020. The concept utilizes an electric TAXI vehicle and supported infrastructure with recharging booths placed at vital points around the city. The design of the vehicle is mainly focused on safety of the driver and passengers, reliability, ease of use, iconic design and minimal environmental footprint. The highlighted features of the vehicle are GPS and mapping system for passengers and driver, Smart card system, passenger info and entertainment hub, hydrogen fuel cell, solar panel system including recharging hubs and battery generators.

IDAT stands for Instant Data Analysis and Transfer, is a specially designed product having hospital’s context in mind. IDAT aims to develop and support a simple but strong interface by optimizing the quality of data circulation and communication. Therefore, IDAT has two major modules and an external charger.
The first module is for general use and allows smooth communication between workers. It includes embedding wireless technology via Bluetooth, a warning light, a vibrator motor and the key function buttons. IDAT shows warning lights along with vibration when the noise pollution levels of a hospital goes over a certain limit and thus increasing workers and patient’s quality of environment. The second module incorporates the log-in system and data visualization technology.

Crescendo is a flashlight specially designed for Public Services Members such as police or EMT. The ergonomic shape of this flashlight fits every hand sizes with the cut away grip that enables to hold the light securely. On the tail cap, there are two power switches enables two light modes, steady on and blink. On the barrel, there are 3 way color light controller, red for sneaky night vision, green for urgent activities such as color recognition and ultra bright white for general use. Branding is included into the body both the logo and name which is the full form of the grip as well.

Francisco Lindoro designed this childbirth assistant to improve the life of those women who cannot have their babies at hospital. The inspiration came from the statistics, in just Mexico, over 500,000 pregnant women don’t have access to social security and therefore, they can’t get the proper attention that is required during the childbirth. The major concerned service providers are Midwives and the biggest problem with them is they do not have proper instruments that are required to perform trouble free childbirth. This design provides the midwives with proper instruments to ensure the well of babies.

One of the best innovations that have been done by human is the fire extinguisher, which of course has over the years saved millions of accidents and lives alike. The only drawback that one sees with this is that design wise it looks more like a storage container and many a times is hidden from public view. The new fire extinguisher design by HomeHero designed by Peter Arnel has simply upped the overall design of the fire extinguisher. With sheer size of 16inches it can be kept anywhere in the room with easy access and one can control the fire at the earliest. It’s a nice thought for one of the basic security feature.
