P.F.U.V : Futuristic Personal Folding Urban Vehicle Concept for The Year of 2040

Designed for the year 2040 this vehicle solves a mayor problem for every city in the future, space. Only 30% longer than a standard bicycle, P.F.U.V (Personal Folding Urban Vehicle) has the ability of folding itself when not in use for reducing space to a minimum. When folded, this vehicle can be stacked in front of one another for parking.

Most people use a big car for transporting only themselves from point A to B, and cars spend most of the day parked, wasting a lot of space. Utilizing electric motors on each wheel, this vehicle reduces pollution to zero. This is why P.F.U.V transports only one person and folds itself for parking. The chassis is made out of high tech materials, metal ceramics, each hole in the structure is calculated for reducing weight to a maximum without sacrificing the chassis strength.

Stylish Givi Motorcycle Top Box Features RFID Key Lock System

Givi motorcycle top box was designed by these industrial designers during their exchange period at Istituto Europeo di Design. This top box project is intended to be used on motorcycles and has to be realistic enough to be released in the market by the year of 2017.

At first, we came up with many ideas that would make this an ambitious target, but during the process we moved toward actual reasonable scenarios and implementing only those features which were likely be available at that time. We had a keen interest to design a product that is sustainable, using biodegradable plastics and making the manufacturing process and recycling process as easy as possible and one of the top box’s main feature and theme is configurability and customizability.

We applied these themes to Givi Motorcycle Top Box both internally and externally, thus the interior has an easy to use compartmentalization feature using elastic rubber bands, while the exterior has customizable rings that can match any motorbike. We decided to use a new lock system with an RFID key to simplify the access to two separate compartments. These compartments have separate purposes, a smaller for easy access for personal things that are essential and a bigger one that has more space. The aggressive angle of the lid was designed to fit with modern and future motorbike trends where the rear end of the bike is also angled, not flat.

Tactile Watch Design by Jake Rynkiewicz

Lucky are we to have been blessed with eyes that could spot out things. We can read things hassle-free, admire at nature’s beauty, but the blind? Can they sense things or at least know the current time? Why not! Specially designed for the visually disabled is the new Tactile Watch. So, what’s so intriguing about this watch? The very feeling of raised minute and hour hands with respect to the dots, positioned around the watch face helps the visually disabled to know the current time. Rather than employing a dial, the watch hands are stimulated directly to create a tactile experience. The watchband is made out of flexible rubber material, which makes it even easier for the blind people to take on and off.

This designer got the idea to design watch for visually impaired people when he was researching for his senior thesis project in college. You might think that the blind people search new technologies to restore their sight or a way to navigate the city. In fact, they just want simple things to improve their quality of life. The thesis focused primarily on money recognition for U.S bills and at the same time this industrial designer wanted to expand his research to design a simple product that would appeal a larger user base outside of the visually disabled. He has come up with this Tactile Watch design.

The designer’s primary motto is to design a more user-friendly watch for the blind so that they might have a unique experience as others. While the watch is still at the concept stage, the designer is researching out to incorporate many things for a brilliant outcome.

Mercedes Arrow Is A Lightweight Two-Seater Vehicle Gives You The Feeling Of Sliding With A Bobsleigh

Mercedes Arrow has been designed to draw a comparison with other recreational vehicles such as motorcycles, jetskis or personalized aircraft. This stunning vehicle gives its passengers the ride of their life. The bobsleigh shaped body, the lightweight materials and the sporty look enable it to shoot through heavy traffic like an arrow from a bow. This experience can only be enjoyed by two passengers, their seats are placed one in front of another. One of the stunning features this futuristic car has, is that it combines TANDEM with MAGLEV technology to take sharp corners. This innovative feature allows the body of the car to tilt left and right when the car is taking corners, thus minimizing the wheels tilt angle. There is an almost non-existing chance for the vehicle to slide out of control. Due to the slim body, the wheels cover the same space of tarmac, just as a contemporary car, eliminating the risk of the car flipping over. The designer, Felipe Palermo, found inspiration in the old Silver Arrows, the SLR McLaren and the 1954 Gull-Wing.

BlitzenBenz Organic Racing Car Responds like Human Nerve System

BlitzenBenz concept racing car has been designed in a new way of challenging the global issues keeping the long lived racing heritage of Mercedes intact. The shape and pattern of the concept comprises various innovative technologies like liquid armor and a military application operated Kevlar armor that can strengthen the car by applying pressure on its organic parts to turn into different shapes. Not only that, with the development of the nanotechnology, many more organic parts can be genetically included with the car that will respond like human bodies react with the nerve system.

The horizontal tube like structure of BlitzenBenz was designed to visually look and acts like a vase where plants grow in. The lighting idea was inspired by bioluminescent that can be found in deep sea creatures and the wheels are individually held by the organic structure with in-wheel motors that would open whenever it requires just like a plant blossoms to get sunlight or water. A hydrogen tank is located in the side pocket of the car that can give the vehicle a visual impression of recycling water throughout the entire vehicle.

E-Board Tracker Bike : A Small, Funny, and Eco Friendly Motorbike

The Eboard Tracker concept doesn’t focus on just a transport vehicle, rather the designer has envisioned it as an eco-friendly, small and funny motorbike that can run at up to 30 mph and ensures better twisting around the corner of the street with its compact and light design. This bike contains hand throttle instead of traditional electric pedaling and features light, simple and optical flowing frame. A beam girder from section-I and hydro-formed tubes welded together in order to strengthen the steering head. The handlebar is shaped like an ace-bar which is fully adjustable and includes a cycle computer on top with speed, battery status and estimated remaining battery capacity readings.

This bike features a very close to “vintage racer” look with its regenerative breaking and a hub battery since they are similar to a set of drum brakes. The chain is swapped for a carbon shaft, bevel drive and nylon hypoid gears enclosed in right swing arm. Behind the pedal shafts, a small six speed cassette type remains hidden and comes operational if the battery becomes flat any time.
