BiCX is a folding e-bike concept that provides a new approach of commuting by self-recharging its lithium-ion-polymer battery. The battery can’t be recharged by regular electric outlets, rather it has been designed to recharge through human power such as down-hill free-riding or pedaling. The bike features two riding modes, the Cruise Mode and the Recharge Mode, along with a Booster Button. When the rider is pedaling the bike in Cruise mode, the e-motor will start assisting the rider for pedaling to ensure convenient riding. Recharge mode is the usual riding option where the battery gets charged through pedaling. The Booster button on the left thumb gives a quick acceleration to the bike and functions only if the battery has at least 15% charge.

This amphibious vessel concept is a half earthly and half aquatic floating agora that not only deals with ecology by saving water, but also elaborates strategic solutions to sentient the fluvial network. With its various functional features, this vessel not only contributes the environment by saving water, refilling ground waters, controlling domestic, industrial and rainwater recycling, purifying agriculture pollutions (nitrates, plant health), desalinating sea water and many more, but also promotes the waterways as fluvial tourism and commercial transport, water sports, agriculture irrigation, hydro-electricity production, protection against floods, and many more.

The Suncheo wetland of Korea features the 5th largest tidal flat of the world where Gansam Architects G.lab has taken an innovative initiative to build a world class visitors center, aiming to protect and enhance the wetland. This minimally invasive project has been designed to go with the ebb and flow of the river tides. The 3,500 hectare wetland contains shallow salt marshes and over 25 types of threatened species and is important for its ecological attributes, production of fish, mollusks and seaweed. Keeping these important eco factors intact, the project was designed to join and showcase the wetland and surrounding mountains.
A significant part of the building is covered with green roof and the layout of the project is inspired from the outflows and inflows of the wetland’s tides. The project has different areas to maximize the environmental aspects and reducing energy consumption. All the portions of the design have maximum exposure on daylight and the entire structure is elevated from the ground level to ensure minimal disruption of the site.
