The ROC Compact Rotary Cycle Pump design has evolved from a project that sought to develop a range of product concepts that could combine a new piston technology within a lightweight and ergonomic hand pump design, that would greatly shorten tire inflation time and allow for significantly smaller hand pumps.
At the heart of the concept features a compact, yet powerful patented mechanical device that efficiently converts a single rotary action into multiple linear movements, making the device ideal for repetitive pumping applications.
Update: The ROC pump has received the “Silver Engineering and Technical Design Award” in the world renowned A’ Design Award and Competition. The competition aims to highlight excellence in designs, design concepts and design oriented products worldwide.

Shorter tire inflation times will have the benefit of less time fixing punctures and giving more time cycling. The new design of ROC Compact Rotary Cycle Pump will offer better compact ergonomics with a rotary action which is proving to be more efficient than a linear one, thereby making tire inflation easier and this will also lead to less breakages of valve stems.
Recent analytical studies have been concluded that the Compact Rotary Cycle pump will deliver 5 times the volume displacement of conventional 2 way pumps of a similar size. The overall dimensions of the Compact pump will be 30mm (W) x 270mm (L) x 38mm (H) and should weigh around 300 grams.
Pumped are currently working with the UK Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) and two Universities to optimize the core technology and it is anticipated that an Ultra Compact version of the hand pump will be available before the summer of 2013.
