The early concept was progressed to reach rapid realization that has resulted in lightweight and versatile system for use in urban areas. Thanks to Google technology, this device can piggy-back off nearby smartphone to utilize those components to relay information.

Ora consists of a BLE Beacon and its companion app, the beacon is worn by vulnerable person, it can broadcast a unique identifier signal while the companion app detects wearer’s last known location to the guardian. In case of emergency, beacon wearer can activate Distress Mode, it needs two hands and a 180-degree twist to overcome the internal spring. When Distress Mode is activated, it’ll emit specific signal where companion app would receive it and notify the designated guardians.
