Back on crowd funding campaign, Matrix PowerWatch 2 offers new features with advanced energy harvesting technology. This is the next generation of original award-winning PowerWatch, this time, it uses body heat and light to power itself.
By employing low power electronics, it is possible to get the energy from heat-generated user’s body, there’s no need for batteries or chargers. Powerwatch 2 uses a solar cell under its new color display, a heart rate sensor, and a GPS tracking system for the signature water-resistant aluminum case. It comes with indestructible 22mm silicone rubber strap.
Designed by Ponti Design Studio, Matrix PowerWatch 2 features a bezel of nylon-reinforce polycarbonate, anodized aluminum, it also comes with a case back of tinted glass that houses sensor and absorbs body heat from user’s wrist. To make this watch water resistant up to 200m or 200atm, a red polymeric gasket is used to seal the case. Thanks to this unique combination of materials, PowerWatch 2 delivers lightweight watch that is resistant to extreme conditions. It’s a perfect watch for outdoor adventures or to track your fitness activities. This watch takes thermoelectric technology into wearable device with full integration of design, functionality, and eco-sustainability.
Matrix PowerWatch 2 also introduces first full-color LCD display, it is powered by thermoelectric and solar energy.
